My first visit to this clinic with Darquin was amazing. I felt incredibly relaxed afterward and was very happy with the experience. Unfortunately, my second visit today with Michael was extremely disappointing. I’ve had acupuncture many times before, but I’ve never experienced anything like this. I believe that some of the needles hit blood vessels rather than the intended acupuncture points. Instead of feeling relieved or relaxed, this experience left me miserable and in considerable pain. A few hours after the treatment, both sides of my face are swollen and painful. My hand is also swollen and painful, with significant purple bruising under the skin. I’m still experiencing considerable pain hours after the session. This is not what I would expect from proper acupuncture technique. The contrast between my two visits was shocking. While I had a wonderful experience with Darquin, I would not recommend Michael based on my experience.

Holy guacamole. Just tried to schedule with NEIH but to my surprise they require a credit card on file—even though my insurance covers this service 100% with $0 copay. When I asked why, they said it was to cover the cancellation/late fee. When I asked how much it was, I expected them to say anywhere from $20-50, but was told they charge THE FULL AMOUNT OF THE APPOINTMENT, $150, charged in full to your credit card. Absolutely bonkers business practice. This is not a Michelin Star restaurant with a nine month waiting list—it is an acupuncture studio with appointments three days from now. NEIH needs to realize that Masshealth members would be bankrupted by a cancellation fee of this egregious nature, not to mention the Masshealth members too impoverished to even hold a credit card in the first place who would be unable to schedule with this practice at all. When or if this studio gets off its high horse, I’d be happy to become a patient. In the meanwhile, I’ll be searching for an office that puts patients—not profits—first.

I’ve been seeing the team here for the past couple months, and now feel like I don’t know what I’d do without them. I’d used Acupuncture as part of my healthcare for 12+ years before moving here, and I had an accident not long after relocating. I located them through my insurance company, and based on Abram’s reviews, I waited for an opening in his schedule and have been seeing him weekly since. I've also seen Darquin who is also super helpful. Once, when I needed help on short notice, I saw Janette, who also blew me away. They all use slightly different approaches, but no matter who I’ve seen, I’ve had really good experience and most importantly, better outcomes in my recovery process since beginning my acupuncture here. Also - they have a parking lot so it’s really easy to integrate appointments into my day (no time spent looking for parking so I know exactly how much time to plan for). Highly, highly recommended.
