New Roots

New Roots did an amazing job with our landscaping project! From the design to the timeliness of the execution, everything was very well explained and efficient. Many months later we are still fully enjoying the healthy greenery and beauty of the hardscaping. We also appreciated the regrading work that’s been proven to make a huge difference during heavy rains.

I recently used New Roots landscaping for a major project at my house in the Heights. They removed some artificial turf and a dysfunctional outdoor kitchen, And then they installed a beautiful stone patio, with natural, native plantings surrounding. They also coordinated that work with the irrigation installer. I couldn't be happier. It brings me joy everyday. Not only that, I was out of town for most of the project. They executed the whole thing independently. I am happy to recommend them.

I have reviewed New Roots before about 10 years ago, but I recently used them again to landscape the front of my new home. Their business practices have improved (I honestly can't believe they found any room for improvement) and consumers searching for landscaping services should know about them. A consultation starts with Jim and Gabriella where they attentively listen to your wants, and help to design a plan that will meet your goals and work in your space. Their proposal is very detailed with individual line items so there is no confusion regarding the scope of work. Once our project started, Jim walked the property with the crew leader and confirmed the plan with me. The crew worked so very hard with excellent attention to detail. They dig deep, they treat soil thoroughly, they pack in gravel tightly, and even clean up as they go. Our project took two full days, and on both days, the crew left the space looking cleaner and better than it did before they arrived. The crew takes pride in their work, the company takes pride in their projects, and the quality of work is very high. I've used other landscaping companies and honestly, no one else even comes close. New Roots truly is the best! Additionally, I love their nursery because it's filled with natives and unique finds that make excellent gifts.

Great people and plant varieties.

Healthy plants, unique art and antiques, small pottery selection, and friendly atmosphere.

I absolutely love this place. Such a small space with great big deals. I love the plants selections here! Everyone that assist me has been all super sweet!

Everytime I come here I just cannot help myself but grab another plant. Very nice selection of native and other plants. Very cozy and artistic shop. Love it!

As I write this, there are butterflies dancing along my fence line. There are always butterflies in my yard now, ever since New Roots finished their stonework and plant installation in our yard! This team REALLY knows what they’re doing and we’re so glad to have worked with them! You can tell when you’re working with someone who really knows and cares about the little details — New Roots is that team!

I recently moved to the area and wanted to spruce up the patio. I am a horticultural idiot so I explained to the kind lady what I was looking for and walked out with my garden starter kit. The plants in the nursery look very healthy, beautiful and affordable. I will visit again soon.

Our first time here. Unfortunately, they were our of the item we were looking for. They were kind enough to suggest another place. Will definitely be back.
