Let us begin by recommending Northern Pacific Power Systems. We could not be happier with the entire process, from initial consultation, plans, permits, installation, inspections, and approvals. Northern Pacific Power Systems (NPPS) provided professional and continuous project management. We had, at every step, open lines of communication with NPPS project manager, office, and installation staff that made the entire process run smoothly. During installation, as with many construction-related projects, there were challenges to overcome. Our installer, the guy who did the physical work, kept us informed and resolved construction-related issues in a way that minimized impacts to us. As well, during the final inspections, there were no deficiencies noted, and our project passed with flying colors. A good job all around. We had heard stories of the “BIG National Solar Companies”, the ones you see at big box home improvement stores, that promised the moon but then subcontracted out the actual work. Lack of project management seemed to be a principal complaint. With NPPS we had none of these issues, and we would strongly recommend NPPS to anyone thinking of installing a residential or commercial solar system.

2026 Update -- We wanted to add more panels this year as we weren't quite covering all of our electricity use. We had a bit of a rough start to the project as no one at Northern Pacific seemed to able able to help us. Dan Moran to the rescue! Dan realized our project had fallen through the cracks. In short order he sorted out the design, scheduled installation, coordinated building inspection, and worked with PG&E to get us connected. -------------------------- Northern Pacific Power Systems was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They sized our solar system appropriately, handled the permitting and interface with PG&E, and creating a clean looking installation with no ugly conduits running across our roof. Although every NPPS employee we met went above and beyond, we need a special shout-out to the "J Squad" (Juan, Jonny, and James Jr.), who came and installed the panels and electrical components on their day off (!) and to Devin, the cool, calm and collected Project Manager who pulled the whole thing together.
Northern Pacific Power Systems designed and installed the solar panels for our home in 2023 and they did a great job. We recently needed a main service panel replacement and we used Northern Pacific and they provided excellent work once again. Dan Moran was the project manager and it was a pleasure to work with him from the start to the end of the project. And we were extremely happy with Juan who was the electrician who installed the new panel. Both Dan and Juan were prompt, courteous and professional and easy to communicate with along the process. The city inspector who gave the final approval even told us "Best panel I've seen" ! And I want to give a shout out to James who Juan sent over early one morning when we had a minor issue after the project was completed. He was another great employee. It is easy for me to recommend Northern Pacific Power with the high quality work these top-notch employees provide.

Northern Pacific Power Systems was great to work with. From the initial consultation with Tory to the project management with Dan, to the installation with Jake and crew, everything was smooth, professional and on schedule. Tory pointed out code limitations at the initial consolation that other companies quoting the job did not, which would have resulted in major changes at the engineering or permitting stages, and likely additional costs over their initial estimates. The installation took place at the early part of the estimated installation window and the actual installation took less time than estimated. The installation was clean and professional, no installation debris left behind. The solar system and battery back-up have been operational for about 8 months now and have worked flawlessly. We have had a couple of grid power outages, and if not for the notification in the app, we would not have known - lights, refrigerator, etc. stayed on. It is saving us hundreds of dollars each month compared to PG&E. We highly recommend NPPS and would not hesitate to use them again in the future!

They were professional, answered every question, and left the work areas spotless. The quality of their craftsmanship is top-tier. The batteries and sub-panels in my garage look incredibly neat and organized—multiple other tradespeople have since commented on how well laid out it is. Best of all, even five years after the install, they still promptly answer any questions I have. Excellent work from start to finish!

From first conversations with Sebastian, I could tell this company was reputable and he walked through every detail of the proposal and project. Once I signed on for this large install two years ago, Dan Moran has been my project contact and remains so through today when I had a question about the batteries and adding more storage/capacity. His follow-through on the install of the system was excellent and everything went without a hitch. Even his remote analysis of my system's performance and offering programming options provides a reassuring feeling about the company as a whole. Highly recommend them (and have).
