O'Malley Family Farm & Nursery (formerly Trees for Less Nursery) at a glance
Customers frequently praise the farm's friendly staff, punctual delivery services, and family-oriented holiday events featuring hayrides and hot cocoa. However, low-star reviews highlight significant concerns regarding pricing, with several customers noting that trees cost substantially more than the "Trees for Less" name suggests. Additional criticisms include long wait times at seasonal events, unmet expectations about tree quality, and instances of rude employee interactions or unfulfilled service promises.

We bought a tree from Sam O'Malley Family Tree Farm in memory of a co-worker. Sam was very friendly and easy to work with. He was patient while we waited on Diggers Hotline. After we booked the delivery and planting date, he later reached out when an earlier date became available, which we greatly appreciated. We ended up with an Autumn Blaze Pear tree. The two workers were on time, friendly, and very efficient. The tree was beautiful and looks very healthy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or do business with them again.

We have enjoyed the Christmas Trees for many years. It’s always a special time! It was our first time picking flowers and they were lovely! The O’Malley family is incredibly nice and I love what they are doing with this farm. My 10 year old and I had the best time together picking out flowers, exploring and petting the goats today! Everyone was very helpful and friendly :)

Great experience. We've used them twice and both times they were very helpful in guiding us through the tree selection process and were responsive with the planting. Everything was done professionally and on time!

I’ve been using Sam and the Nusery for about 2 years now and have nothing but good things to say about them. Their service, prices, and quality is exceptional. While most people use them once or twice for mulch, as a landscape contractor we use them all the time and customer service really matters to us. The O’Mally farm is family owned and have the best customer service possible, even the employees who are not related are still treated and act like family. I highly recommend the O’Mally Family Farm to anyone in the Germantown/Mequon area looking for high quality mulch delivery and nusery items!

My kids had a blast with all the activities they had for them. They even had free samples, a free wood burning ornament for the kids to make, goats, food, drinks, and some other local small business there selling lotion, jewelry, and soap. Very well put together for their first year doing Maplefest!

Jenna, this is such a nice review. We really worked hard to curate the vendors including the animals. We are so happy you had a nice time. Thank you for coming!

We’ve been going to the Farm for years for their wondering Christmas tree picking and we were so exited about Maple Fest! It was a blast. The perfect opportunity to get outside in the spring and enjoy Wisconsin at its finest. Can’t wait to see what the do next year 🧡🪵🍁🍂🍄🟫

We visited for the FIRST annual Maple Fest and had so much fun with our family. Like any first event, there were a few hiccups. The crowds were large so lines were long, the ground was very muddy (if you’re mad about this I think you should reevaluate as it was Wisconsin in the spring out on a farm so it’s expected for there to be mud) but all in all the event was a great way to get out of the house and enjoy the sunshine with the kids. My children loved running around and playing the yard games and climbing on all the play equipment. My husband and I loved listening to the band and hanging with friends. It was so cool seeing how maple sap is harvested and then made into maple syrup…I had no clue it was so time consuming and labor intensive; I’ll have a new appreciation for morning pancakes every time I pour syrup on them from now on. Everyone I encountered at the farm was so helpful and kind, answering questions politely and with a big smile on their face. All in all, even with the bumps of a brand new event and unexpectedly large crowds, it was so fun going out and we look forward to going again next year. We’ve always loved going at Christmas and can’t wait to check out the u-pick flowers this summer too.
