Its been over a year and still no urinals, two of three toilets not working, and (most recent) no water fountains. The staff is still great, but the gym seems to be going in a bad direction.
Response from the owner · a year ago
Hi Mike, thanks for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoy your visits and apologize for the restroom issues. We're actively working to ensure everything is running smoothly. Your experience matters, and we will continue to strive to provide the best club possible for your fitness needs!

I’ve been coming here for years.
Matt at the front is great!

Updating my review because I wasn’t able to find my original review. Terrible faculties since you aren’t guaranteed a working bathroom half the team or working hvac and even shadier contracts. I ended my contract and still confirm to find charges to my credit card. I’m sure in a few weeks when their team decides to respond they will have an excuse for why their charge is justified months after the contract is ended based on some odd loop hole in the contract. Lame.

Hey Mason! We are sorry you had such a rough experience!
The bathrooms have been down for some time now, but thankfully we are in the final stage of the contract negotiation, and then it is work, baby, work! As for the HVAC, we are also heading into the final rounds of contracts as well. We are also frustrated it has taken longer than we would have liked; there are multiple businesses we have to coordinate with to complete these repairs, and each step is unfortunately necessary. We are very excited to be one final step away from the plumbing repairs, and the HVAC repair is right behind!
We definitely do not want to deceive anyone with shady contracts; we know that can damage a gym's reputation and drive members away! Our options are Month-to-Month No-Contract, Yearly Contract, and Two-Year Contract. You might have selected your Yearly Contract to get the discount on the activation fee at the time. To cancel either of our contracts (Yearly or Two-Year), it takes either a major medical event or moving 30 miles away from an O2 facility, and freezing those contracts adds the extra months to the end of the contract. Our Month-to-Month No-Contract option is easier to freeze or cancel, only need to fill out the freeze or cancel link on the Contact Us page 15 days before the date of cancelation, and the Contact Us link is found at the bottom of our O2 website.
I know this answer won't fix your experience, and I am sorry it was tough. Come back in later this year, or even next year, and we will have a much better experience ready for you! Have a great day, and keep training! We wish you strength on your journey forward!

For over a year and a half, management has been telling us that they're "looking into" the HVAC and plumbing issues. The group fitness room STILL doesn't have AC. Men get to use the outdoor portal potty.
They could get more fans or a portable AC unit, but they don't care about their members. The instructors are great although many left to teach elsewhere. It's a shame.

Hey Mariora! Sounds like you are as frustrated as we are! It has taken a bit to get the multiple business units in coordination with the project, and the property manager changed ownership in the last year and that restarted the whole process >.< It has not been pleasant! Thank you for sticking with us during these tough times! I can confirm that the plumbing issue is in the final contract stages and work will begin expeditiously! AC units are also undergoing late-stage contract negotiations, and we expect that project move along in a timely manner as well. Thank you so much for your patience while we worked on this in the background! We love our instructors too!! Our great staff is what makes O2 breathe!

I’ve been going to O2 daily for over a decade. Have seen more management and staff changes than I could begin to count. Just want to say Ann Carroll and Austin Cherbonneau at North Ridge are “the best”.

Audio in the workout classes is always going out and stopping the classes
ETA: they cancel classes and don't update schedule online, horrible gym
Response from the owner · 2 months ago
Thank you for your updated feedback, Yuniba! You will be happy to know we have resolved the music issue with our classes. Unfortunately, this week did get mixed with another location. We know people plan their workouts based on the schedule we provide online and we take it seriously. Our new Group Fitness Director will resolve this soon and she will make sure it does not happen again! Best wishes, and thank you!

O2 strives to make these kinds of experiences happen, and we are blessed to have a team that continues to set their own standard and exceed expectations! We appreciate your support and we love that you love us!

2026 July Update: AC is still broken. Close to 80 degrees in cardio area. Main studio is also not having adequate AC. All the other O2 locations are very far from me and I still try to go wake forest and cary when I can't stand the heat and humidity any longer. People are forced to rely on portable fans which will make your eyes dry and itchy. It's a sad situation. As far as I know, the general manager has been trying his best to address this issue, however, the landlord of the building has not been cooperative in making those repairs. This issue has been going on for over 2 years now.
2025 November Update: Please fix the AC or open the doors. It's humid, over 70 degrees in the cardio area and we should not have to rely on couple of scattered fans that people keep moving around. Since you gave up on fixing plumbing, please just get us functioning AC system 🙏
2025 June Update: AC is broken again. The highest tolerable temperature in the gym should not exceed 68 F. It is 78 now and keeps getting hotter and more humid. Feels like it's 85. After all the plumbing issues and now AC issues again, this place is experiencing, I won't be surprised if it's going to shut down.
And if the owner wanted this gym to remain open, I would certainly hope to see AC repair companies fixing this integral and essential part of their business ASAP.
2024 Update: The thermostat now works and shows that its 77+ degrees in cardio area. 🤣 AC still doesn't work.
This gym smells bad and doesn't have air conditioning or air filtration. Go to other O2 locations, if you don't want to have a heat stroke.
Also, we have been promised that we will be getting a new water filtration system. Well, it's almost 4 months now and it still hasn't arrived. Basically, more deception.

Hello Maya! We appreciate your feedback! I know this has not been an ideal situation for you, nor for us, and we are working to address these issues permanently. We have engineered a partial solution for the main studio heat and continue to work for better solutions as we move forward. Thank you for your continued membership!
