I went to my niece's graduation. It doesn't really look like a museum from what I could see.

I went to the museum with my kids and this was a great experience!!! They showed and explained everything so well. The visit was a great mix of hands on activities, seeing artifacts and hearing about the past. I highly recommend the museum.

Honestly I’m not sure where to begin. Understaffed, rude, not willing to work with the guests, or the bride and groom’s simple wishes. They held the drink cart hostage for hours, with a wedding full of people who paid good money for this service. Yve or Yvey (not sure the spelling of her name) was honestly unpleasant to be around. She had an attitude as if she was doing US a favor, sarcastic at times and simply off putting the rest. Yvey was very pushy in the worst ways possible. I couldn’t warn you enough against booking your wedding here!!! Beware!! All of the servers were miserable and couldn’t even give me a salad without nuts when I asked. They ran out of plates for the wedding cake as well as not even having SPOONS OR ANY NORMAL UTENSIL FOR THE CAKE. She made a joke about the guests having to eat the cake with their hands, I wish I was joking. I was speechless. I love my friends, I loved their wedding but no thank you to Davie School House! You guys S U C K!

For clarification, Old Davie School Museum & Event Venue provides the historic venue spaces only. All catering, bar service, staffing, coordination, and food-related services are independently selected and managed by the couple and their chosen vendors. We are not responsible for vendor operations during private events. We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed with the aspects of this wedding. We will certainly share this feedback with the couple so they can address it with their service providers. We wish the newlyweds nothing but happiness and appreciate everyone who chooses to celebrate special moments at our venue.

I recently toured the Old Davie School Museum, and it was an absolute highlight. As someone with a background in investigative work and a keen eye for detail, I was thoroughly impressed by how meticulously this 1918 building has been preserved. The tour guide was incredibly informative, providing a vivid narrative of the pioneers who settled the 'Zona' area. Their knowledge turned what could have been a simple walkthrough into a deep-dive into the agricultural and social history of Broward County. Sitting in the restored 1920s classroom—complete with the original inkwells and creaking pine floors—offered a profound sense of nostalgia. The entire campus is beautifully kept. From the 1909 Pioneer Home to the authentic Seminole Chickee Hut, every structure feels alive with history rather than just a static exhibit. The staff’s dedication to preserving our heritage is evident in every corner of the property.
