As a beauty industry professional, having a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for my clients is extremely important, and she exceeded my expectations! Her attention to detail, professionalism, and work ethic were outstanding! She was extremely thorough, making sure every corner of my suite was spotless. We hired them for office cleaning (2100 sqft) on October 6th. I appreciate their flexibility in rescheduling multiple times due to delays on our end. However, the experience on cleaning day was disappointing. Brandi personally inspected the office and agreed to match a competitor's quote. Hence we hired them. Yet, just two hours before completing the job, she requested an additional $200, claiming there was more dust than during her walkthrough. The whole reason we hired a cleaning company was to remove construction dust! The dust-producing work had already been completed when she visited for the quote, and we clearly communicated the situation beforehand. When I expressed my disappointment about the unexpected charge, she became defensive and interpreted my feedback as disrespect toward her team's work. Instead of listening to the customer's concern, she focused on defending herself. To be fair, the cleaning crew were genuinely nice, hardworking people, and the final cleaning deserves 4/5 stars. We were considering a long-term agreement for regular cleaning services, but unfortunately, they lost a potential recurring client and earned a negative review instead. Good cleaning crew, but disappointing management, broken pricing commitments, and poor customer service.
Mehmet, Thank you for recognizing our team’s hard work and the quality of the cleaning. We also appreciate your acknowledgment of our flexibility in accommodating the multiple scheduling changes your team requested. I would like to clarify the circumstances surrounding the price adjustment. Our agreed price covered the conditions and scope presented during the initial walkthrough. Upon arrival on October 6, our joint walkthrough revealed substantially more dust and debris, along with additional items requiring cleaning that had not been shown during the original assessment. You acknowledged these differences verbally while we were on-site and via text. Within approximately ten minutes after the second walkthrough, I spoke with you privately to explain that the expanded scope would require additional labor and time. I advised that I would calculate those costs and follow up with the adjustment. Although the specific dollar amount was communicated later, the need for an increase was raised at the beginning of the service. Construction dust removal was always part of the scope of work. The adjustment reflected the increased volume and additional cleaning requirements. The proposal also stated that changes in scope could affect the overall cost. I understand that an additional charge was frustrating. My intention in explaining it was to communicate the work required and ensure fair compensation for the team’s additional time. I regret that our conversation felt defensive to you; that was not my intent. We appreciate the opportunity to provide post-construction cleaning services for Servotech.
