I spent three years studying at Orlando Language School, and looking back, it made a huge difference in my life here in the US. My English improved a lot in real-world ways, but honestly, the overall experience went way beyond grammar and vocabulary.
A big part of that came down to the teachers. Having classes with Mr. Laniel, Alex, Hassan, and Gisele was great—each had a unique style, plenty of patience, and genuinely cared about helping us get better. The staff made things smooth from day one, too. Elisete was the very first person I spoke with and could not have been more welcoming. Whenever paperwork or academic questions popped up, Ana Delgado (the DSO) and Eric Roth (Academic Director) were always right there to help out without hesitation.
More than anything, I loved the mix of people. Sharing a classroom with classmates from all over the world showed me how quickly people connect when they are working toward the same goal, no matter where they started from.
Leaving after three years feels bittersweet, but I am really thankful for the friends, lessons, and memories I made at OLS. If you want a place to truly improve your English and be surrounded by good people from everywhere, this is definitely it.
