Thank you so much for sharing this. We’re especially glad you mentioned Ken’s thoughtfulness when it comes to making recommendations and helping you get the most value from your lighting. Our goal is never simply to add more, but to make sure what we recommend truly makes sense for your property, your needs and your investment.
We’ll be sure to share your kind words with Ken and the team. Thank you for your trust and such an enthusiastic recommendation!
Above and beyond service and so friendly and helpful! Today Mike came out to fix a problem with my sprinkler system and started by removing some large tree branches from my steep and long front steps - incredibly kind of him! He did a great job repairing my sprinkler issue, as well - he is very knowledgeable and always taking great care with the work. Outdoor Illumination has wonderful employees, including their very helpful and responsive office staff. Highly recommend them. I switched to their irrigation service as soon as they added this (already very happy with their work on my outside lighting) as my former company was much less knowledgeable and responsive and always had trouble fixing and servicing my sprinkler system. Grateful to be a customer of Outdoor Illumination (and Irrigation).
I have used Outdoor Illumination fore more than 20 years at multiple homes and every time I am pleased with the service and results. They do excellent work and are very responsive if you need a quick turnaround. Highly recommend.

Christopher, thank you so much for your kind words and, most importantly, for trusting Outdoor Illumination for more than 20 years and across multiple homes. Long-standing relationships like yours mean a great deal to our entire team. We truly appreciate your continued confidence in us and look forward to being here whenever you need us!
Outdoor lighting can improve visibility around entrances, walkways, patios, and landscaped areas while adding another visual element to the property. Installation may include pathway fixtures, wall lights, landscape lighting, or other suitable options. Compared with poorly illuminated exterior areas, a thoughtfully planned system can provide more consistent coverage. Fixture placement and appropriate wiring are important parts of the project. A completed lighting installation can make outdoor spaces more functional while complementing the property's exterior design.
Updated lighting can change the atmosphere and functionality of a kitchen considerably. New fixtures can improve visibility over work areas, islands, countertops, and dining spaces while also contributing to the overall design. Professional installation helps ensure proper placement, wiring, and finishing. Compared with older or poorly positioned lighting, a new setup can make the kitchen feel brighter and more comfortable to use. The right combination of task and ambient lighting creates a more balanced space and provides a noticeable improvement without requiring major structural changes.
Outdoor Illumination is a great company. Pete Strain is a real customer service professional who delivers as promised, on time (actually early) and a pleasure to work with. His technicians worked very hard and didn’t leave until they got it right. They also left the work area in the pristine condition they found it. Highly recommend — I’ll use them forever.

Outdoor Illumination installed path lighting and several up-lighting fixtures in our front yard. The entire process—from planning to proposal to installation—was smooth. Communication was excellent and installation occurred within several weeks. A very positive experience. Highly recommend!

We always say the best lighting projects are the ones that feel natural once everything comes together, so we’re really glad you enjoyed both the process and the final result. We’ll be sure to pass this along to the team.
Enjoy the new lighting, and thank you again for the recommendation — it truly means a lot to us.
Absolutely immaculate installation- professionals that know what they are doing and don’t need to be supervised- I am very picky and I 150% trusted their vision and work. I would 1000% say they are the best at what they do in Montgomery county!

Highly recommend Pete and this company. They came the day after Incontacted them to review my lighting needs, responded to every email I sent within 24 hours, scheduled my install within a couple of weeks then did an amazing job. Couldn’t be happier.
