Outdoor Makeover and Living Spaces recently completed a makeover of my entire property - front yard, backyard, and side yards. Our property slopes from the front right corner down to the back left corner with several drainage challenges. Since I intend to age in place, I was very frustrated by how sloped and slippery much of the yard was, and our dogs often came in so muddy from playing. An old retaining wall was replaced on one side, and the dry creek bed was replaced on the other side, along with a lot of grading work, sod installation, creation of a new pathway, and the addition of landscape treads for stairs on the slopes, along with the beautification of new trees and shrubs. My very knowledgeable designer and project manager, Will Cloud, came up with a plan that addressed all my concerns with creative, beautiful solutions. They were able to start quickly. I was so impressed with Santiago and his crew, who all worked happily from early till almost dark, with such skill and craftsmanship, especially on the stonework. I asked for a wooden bridge over the dry creek bed to a patio with a porch swing, and they created the most lovely spot. Kirk Lord was available to smooth out a couple of rough spots, but overall communication was excellent throughout the project. I especially appreciated the videos Santiago and Will made as the project progressed, showing what was completed and noting the work to be done next. I appreciate everyone’s willingness to listen to my concerns and their dedication to making me tremendously happy with all aspects of my outdoor spaces. Update 10/11/26 This is an updated review for Outdoor Makeover and Living Spaces. They did a beautiful makeover of my entire landscape, focusing on drainage, making safe walkways, and creating play areas for dogs and kids and shady relaxation areas for adults. However, upon completion, there were still some drainage issues. Although it took a while, the warranty was honored, and Miguel came and did some very attractive replacement work and tried to fix the drainage. But the fix did not work. In fact, the drainage was worse, and we had a muddy mess. The company’s owner, Navid, came back promptly and diagnosed the problem. Within a week, Alex came and followed Navid’s instructions and added two 10’ drains in the lawn area, draining into their existing stone dry creek bed. It was necessary to have a conference call with me, Navid, and Alex, to get the instructions followed correctly. It seems to be working, hurrah! We’ll know for sure after this weekend’s storm when we see how long it takes the lawn area to dry out. But it looks very promising. I appreciate the company following through and honoring their warranty of one year on everything. As always, the employees and the owner were courteous and caring, and they did an excellent job to my satisfaction.

We did a big project to replace a deck with a patio and some landscaping improvements. While they were great to work with during the project and did a good job with the deck the gravel and dust they used killed a large portion of our lawn and we didn’t realize how bad the issue was until a few months down the road when all the grass they planted died. I reached out multiple times during the warranty but never heard back. Removing all the rock debris that they left behind is creating a huge headache, but it’s between that and embracing a mud pit in our backyard.

Outdoor Makeover & Living Spaces was wonderful to work with! We started off with Andee who made it very easy to get us on their schedule. We met with Matt Obermeyer who really listened to us, everyone involved did a wonderful job transforming our backyard. We definitely recommend!!

Absolute abhorrent company with dishonest practices and poor construction quality. Would not recommend. **update** Last year I left a negative review after significant quality control issues with my project. Outdoor Makeover contacted me, acknowledged my concerns, and asked me to remove the review while they worked to make things right. In good faith, I agreed. They inspected the property, committed to specific repairs, and we agreed to delay the work until fall. When the time came, I spent weeks trying to get someone to respond to schedule the repairs. After repeated follow-ups, I was told they wouldn’t honor what had been promised. Later, and fast forward to this year, I began receiving multiple solicitations from them. Annoyed, and being reminded of my experience, I made the above review. They saw it, didn’t like it, and offered me $500 to remove my review. I refused and believe their actions speak for itself. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company and continue to evaluate my options. I’ve also attached the video where ODM came out and detailed what they would fix before they ghosted and later refused. And proof of dialogue.
