Gina and Evie are some of the most genuine and kind people! They’re very talented with dogs, especially working breeds and managing challenging behaviors. I have two Malinois that love them both! I’ve trained and boarded my dogs with them, and they are so helpful and understanding, even on the few occasions when an unexpected emergency came up and I boarded them on short notice. I can trust that they are well cared for. I highly recommend PacwestK9!

Both Gina and Hyson are incredibly knowledgeable about dogs and I am grateful for them helping me learn how to understand mine.

All was lost for our boy Rex! We got him as an ESA after my first born son died during a mistake my medical team made at the time of birth and delivery. The experience was very traumatizing as it almost cost me my life as well. Wallowing in shame, I was at the point where I had no motivation or drive to do anything at all - so my husband thought us getting a puppy would be a good distraction. A distraction he was! Not sure we were ready for all that came with a working line German Shepard - he took us through there lol. To add to the madness, I became pregnant again, so caring for Rex got even more difficult by the day. We were both getting bigger at the same time, so the leash pulling and rough housing was getting out of control and Rex spent a lot of time in his kennel as a result. I had so much anxiety my second pregnancy I still needed my Rex for redirection of that fear.
After I gave birth the second time, someone at work recommended Gina - so I told my husband and we took a chance, and we’re so glad we did! We put Rex in a 30-day board & train and he came back completely transformed into a dog with structure and discipline. I will say, immediately upon his return home he tried to go back to some of his old ways but Gina & Evie came over to our house and reminded us on how we need to set the tone and our lives have been different ever since. I appreciate how they stress that WE needed to also change for Rex.
Before - Rex was a back yard dog, he was super reactive to other dogs and we couldn’t take him anywhere and now we can proudly take our boy for family walks (people complement him nearly everyday, when before they use to run the other way!) , work outside in our garage with him OFF LEASH, and even have him around our 1 year old (which is really saying a lot because Rex use to treat him like he was invisible when he was around which is dangerous for a active baby learning to crawl and walk) - I honestly never thought I’d see this day.
Gina was our last effort before rehoming Rex and now we feel guilty for even having the thought of doing so. My husband and I use to argue about whose fault it was for Rex being a Tasmanian devil but now we argue about who he favors more 😂 it really is such a good feeling.
Rex makes us so proud each & everyday thanks to Gina & Hyson - his dedicated trainers. I could honestly go on and on giving compliments about the PWK9 team, but the review is already long enough. Thank you both for helping us give Rex the life he truly deserves!
I strongly recommend PacWestK9 for anyone looking to get their dog together!

I first took my dog to Gina about 7 years ago for behavior modification when he was about a year old. Gina graciously helped us through my dog's reactive behaviors and taught me how to better understand him. My dog had Parvo as a puppy and unfortunately became very reactive towards people and other dogs afterwards. Gina is extremely knowledgeable and she was very kind and patient with me and my pup. She truly has a way with dogs and can tell you everything just from their body language. I have recommended her to friends and family, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a high quality trainer in the area. I recently went out of town for 4 days and was so thankful to board my dog with Gina because I was confident he would be well taken care of which allowed me to enjoy my vacation. Gina is the only person I trust with my dog and we are so grateful to be working with PacwestK9!

I have been to a ton of protection trainers before finding Gina and I’m so beyond grateful for her guidance and training. She is amazing with the dogs and is so intentional, knowledgeable, and kind. She is extremely patient and always makes sure to explain why she is doing what she is doing. I would trust her to care for all of my dogs x1000. You can’t go wrong if you work with Gina!

Evie and Gina are the best! I’ve been bringing my 2 dogs to pac west k9 for a while now for a reason. They take excellent care of our dogs and they always come back happy. They have a really nice piece of land where the dogs can run and play with a lot of outdoor space. You can tell with Evie and Gina they really love dogs and take exceptionally good care of them. The can’t thank them enough for what they do and how much they care.

PackwestK9 featuring Gina is by far the best training instruction you will find. With Evy and crew keeping us informed on classes and schedules. Don't bother to look any further! This is the place.
Seriously we went through 4 high priced trainers, and their classes. None of them had solutions to the issues and the situation was spiraling into a really bad place.
We were completely overwhelmed and the dog was seriously out of control.
The dog is a male Dutch Shepherd. He is high drive, dominate and extremely smart. The core trainer is a man 72 years old with hearing issues. He has never trained a dog in his life. So you have a dog bred for an expert, not as a pet, with a novice senior citizen. What could go wrong? 😂
If this was not a tuff job for Gina I don't know what could be worse.
Gina's extensive dog training experience and human relations talent has resulted in quite frankly amazing results.
It is Gina's kind thoughtful and respectful words. Her ability to see the human/dog interaction and confusion that sends her training over the top and makes her the best.
She is conscious to speak louder for this situation. Making sure the instructions are heard clearly.
She has advised on collar issues, trained us on E-Collars. She has new ideas each week how to work on situations. How to work with the dog in the house, in crowds, in all types of situations.
The dog and his owner have advanced past tug of war to actual sleeve bite work which the dog absolutely lives for. Gina is so good at this advanced level. It is really just a super fun thing to do with a dog that was intentionally bred for it. He vibrates with joy just pulling up to the PacwestK9 center. Never dreamed we could get that far with training.
The owner is faithfully training the dog daily he impliments what Gina advises him to do. And the results could not be better.
If Gina can help this out of control situation she can train anyone with any type dog.
