Have tried to get quotes for service on my tractor multiple times just to have someone take my information down twice now and no call backs or provide any quote. If this is the customer service provided, I’m glad I avoided it. Hopefully everyone else had a positive experience and got the work done they wanted.

A+ service. Loved that they picked up our mower, repaired it promptly, charged reasonable price, delivered it back to us ...cleaner than it was before! Everyone in the in the store was very friendly and helpful. Service manager Sandra was great! Very knowledgeable. Will definitely go back.

I had known Don Juvet from when he worked for another John Deere dealer. His philosophy always was he wanted to "earn my business". I had priced several different tractors but I could never decide on what I wanted. When I found he was now with Pape Machinery I again contacted him to finally purchase a new 1025R.…

My husband and I are new owners of a Carraro tractor, due in large part to the tremendous experience we had with Don Juvet.
From our very first encounter with Don, we were blown away by the level of service he showered upon us. Don went out of his way to be helpful and informative. He took the time to learn all he could about our needs; he wanted to be sure that Carraro was the best match for us. He then went to the trouble of arranging a demonstration of the machine on the hills of a local winery, to prove to us it could handle steep terrain like ours.
When Don made the 5+ hour trip to our farm to deliver the tractor, he gave us hands-on training, remaining with us until we were 100% comfortable with its use. As a result, operating it has been a breeze. Since our purchase, he's always available to answer a question or troubleshoot an issue.
Overall, this has been a very positive experience for us, one that we have been raving about to others in our farming community. Pape and Carraro are lucky to have Don representing their brand.

I had known Don Juvet from when he worked for another John Deere dealer. His philosophy always was he wanted to "earn my business". I had priced several different tractors but I could never decide on what I wanted. When I found he was now with Pape Machinery I again contacted him to finally purchase a new 1025R. Don found the tractor I wanted with the price I had hoped. He never pressured me into buying, was an excellent resource on the John Deers tractors and implements. and always returned my emails and calls. Don delivered personally delivered to my house when promised. He spent the time needed to go over the basics of the tractor and would not leave until he was satisfied I demonstated an ability to operate the tractor safely.
Don definitely "earned my business".

These guys that work here are dumb, I called for pin’s for my excavator bucket tooth and they said they had some when I got there the guy shows me pins for a tractor unbelievable after I had told him it’s for a excavator, then he tells me go to the west Sac location like it’s a joke! Why didn’t you tell me on the phone! I drove 30 minutes for no reason! Very unprofessional will not ever go there again!

NEW - After my previous review came to the attention of Valley Truck and Tractor I was contacted by Jeremy Bivert. It was his desire to understand the issue and find a solution. After some discussion Jeremy and I determined that a Stihl MS251CBE Wood Boss with easy start would meet my needs. Jeremy arranged for me to meet with Tommy Reyna at the Elk Grove location to correct the the problem I was having. In the end I now have a Stihl MS251CBE Wood Boss with easy start. Tommy made sure the saw was starting and operating properly before I left the store. I am extremely pleased with my interaction with both Jeremy and Tommy. They expressed interest in discovering the problem and in resolving the issue. Thank you to Valley Truck and Tractor, continuing to be my go-to for all my power equipment needs.
OLD - I will preface this with the fact that I have used numerous chain saws throughout my life. With a large tree cutting project approaching I decided I should probably replace my 47 year old STIHL 031AV chain saw. Although running well I felt upgrading it in order to not break down in the middle of my project was a good idea. I had great performance out of the STIHL 031AV and wanted to replace it with a comparable chain saw.
I purchased from Valley Truck and Tractor a new STIHL MS291 chainsaw. From the purchase date to present it has been hard to start. I took it in at one point to discover the problem with starting and was told there was nothing wrong with it. I have now used it for about 3 or 4 tanks of gas and am still not able to easily start it.
I again took it In this week to get it tuned up and was called telling me there was a scarred piston, a dirty chain and dirty fuel. Their estimate to fix the chainsaw was nearly the same price as buying a new saw. This saw has been wrong from day one, and the scarred piston did not happen from abuse to a saw with less than 6 hours on it. I am using premixed fuel purchased from Valley Truck and Tractor and it is working fine in my old chain saw so I don’t believe the fuel is bad.
I don’t know that the problem is with Valley Truck and Tractor or with STIHL but as the STIHL distributor Valley Truck and Tractor should be going to the effort to find out why this saw was not functioning from day one and should at least make an effort to go to STIHL for an answer or resolution. I am very disappointed in this defective chainsaw and in Valley Truck and Tractor for not looking for a resolution. Other transactions with Valley Truck and Tractor have been satisfactory so I am giving them 1 star.
