⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a wonderful experience with Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, where I adopted my dog, June! ❤️ I’m so grateful to them for bringing her into my life. Adopting June was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and she’s been such a special part of my family. The work they do to help animals find loving, forever homes is so important, and I’m thankful for the care they provide to these animals. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to adopt a pet and give an animal a second chance at a happy life! 🐾❤️

I usually have a decent experience with peggy adams but this time was the worst, I had an appt to surrender kittens that were in my backyard but I had them inside for about a month or so. When I brought them they came back out from the back saying they couldn't keep them because they wouldn't come out of carrier on their own and the one girl with locks in her hair said that no one is gonna want to adopt them when hiding in the corner! Which I don't understand how you guys come up with that conclusion after like 7 mins and Of course these kittens are gonna be scared their around different people and a different setting. I brought them to my car and guess what they walked right out the carrier. And I just seen a Facebook video today was an adoption day for cats and guess what I seen, kittens hiding in a corner looking scared, so I don't understand why I got turned away with absolutely no help.
I appreciate their efforts and support but many of their events are very unorganized, I have attended two events and both were not great experiences. I spent 4 hours at a single event to vaccinate my cat which I don’t mind, I’m a patient person, but what I don’t like is how they handle appointments. If they don’t plan to prioritize appointments then they should make sure to write that in their websites, both times I have made appointments a week in advance only for both times to have trouble when I get to the events. The first time I had to beg them, it’s ridiculous, the second time they completely turned me away. Getting here is not an easy task, it’s far (gas is expensive these days), time consuming (I had to plan this carefully just to make time) and heartbreaking to watch my cats stress just for it all to be for nothing. They should stop receiving walk ins and only have appointments that way they can prepare their resources and time efficiently, especially to let people know in advance that they have reached max capacity.
Very caring professional staff!!
Great shelter, adopted a few over the years ...
Great place.., animals need love too
After our beloved dog passed my husband and I decided to take a look at Peggy Adams Rescue (we got our cat there.) There were a few stipulations based on our lifestyle and having another animal at home. CLARA WAS AMAZING!!!!!! She was so sweet and spent the time I needed to make the best selection for us. The girl we rescued is a sweet mixed breed. She made herself at home almost instantly. And bonus very calm and gentle with the kitty. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
very helpful organization, follow their lead! its a process for TNVR to book, but go on waitlist, they will respond most ifvthe time with a slot.
Wouldn't intake my landlords cat who has a dental issue they cant afford, to be adopted because of age, and because she got ear tipped, thats a unethical and ridiculous protocol to say that an animal is doomed for life and can never be rehabed or adopted if they've been ear tipped or are of a certain age. Ive never heard of such an un ethical practice in my life using abandoned animals as Rodent control in the area who are friendly and not feral mouse or barn types, this cat cant even hunt shes got dental issues and they won't help with dental either, they just suggest we take her to a KILL shelter? And say they cant guarantee what the kill shelter will or wont do to her? Absolutely ridiculous. I will mever be working with this shelter in my rescue community and I will never be recommending them to anyone. They only take easiest cases and probably "humanly euthanize" animals who they dont think they can sell easily or will cost them the least amount of money like a business instead of a no kill shelter. Im disgusted OHIO is better than u.
I have 2 cats from here. Great place
