Why not just put a 12' high Swinging metal pole about 100 yards in front of either side of the bridge??

April 14th 2026 - went for a bike ride and snapped a picture on the bridge with big penny. Little did I know that ride would be one of the last times I would see penny alive. April 24th 2026, another ride and penny's face was cruely removed. I have heard the news lately that it is possible that penny be reborne…

What can I say it's a cryptid doing a community service by getting drivers who can't read off the road.

Cultural landmark in Lansing, Michigan! This bridge, located near Potter Park Zoo, claims several vehicles every year, despite warnings and YEARS of destruction! Penny does not descriminate and will eat ANYTHING over 12 ft tall! If you can 100% say your vehicle is shorter than Penny, don't even try, you WILL fail!…

April 24th 2026, another ride and penny's face was cruely removed. I have heard the news lately that it is possible that penny be reborne under conditions and I'm sure we all can agree that would be the best case. Please let penny live again and help us eat the trucks that disrespect the law of height.

The Grand Trunk Railroad bridge is iconic infrastructure built in 1928 with heavy steel encased in thick concrete, stronger than any cheaper passenger vehicle. This bridge cannot be raised any higher because trains would not be able to climb; while Pennsylvania cannot be lowered or the Red Cedar River will flood the roadway (a pump station already exists between the bridge and river to keep water off the road). But it still flood during a major storm's rainfall.
