I love Peoples Yoga because the atmosphere is so comfortable and accepting. They offer so many different types of yoga classes and in every class they offer a lot of options so you feel like you can really listen to your body and move in ways that make sense for you. I love that this place honors all body types,…
Excellent setting for yoga and wonderful instruction.
I have tried nearly all of the yoga studios in the area and recommend People’s Yoga the most! The atmosphere is clean and calm. All of the instructors are kind and welcoming. Misty is a phenomenal instructor and provides challenge, with a balance of rest and connection within. I could not recommend People’s Yoga more!
Privates with Misty have transformed my health, improved my flexibility/strength, reduced my stress, and improved my mental health. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with her and some of the other instructors that I've taken classes with at People's Yoga. People's Yoga has been an integral part of my healing journey over the last 2 years.
I’ve been practicing for 25 years and just discovered this incredible studio a couple of months ago. Studio owner and teacher Misty is amazing - encouraging, challenging, creative, and always providing a range of modifications. I’m excited to explore classes with other teachers. I also love the intentionally,…
I have been going here for a couple of years now and have never had a bad class. I highly recommend people of any level to do yoga here!
The classes and teachers at Peoples Yoga are exceptional. I have been practicing yoga pretty regularly for about 8 years, the last 1.5 at Peoples, and it is the best studio experience I've had. The classes are thoughtfully designed and varied for all needs and interests, and the teachers are highly knowledgeable and…
This studio has changed my Lansing experience (for the way way better)
I started yoga 15+ years ago at Hilltop Yoga with Misty and loved the way I felt after each class— gaining strength and mobility and acceptance of my body’s limitations with a love for patiently improving my abilities. I then moved to San Francisco for almost ten years and in all my yoga classes, never found a…
The space and staff make for a safe and friendly practice.
I would not consider myself a beginner (but I am in no ways an expert) so I tried the intermediate flow with Daisy and it was such a nice experience! She had great words of encouragement and I didn’t feel judged or upset when I couldn’t get something. Loved it!
I have taken group classes with Misty, Sabrina and Shiloh. They are highly trained, are great with instructions and each bring their unique skills and talents to class.
The instructors are thoughtful and knowledgeable. Each one has a passion for the class they teach. Their commitment to health and wellness - mind, body, and soul :) is evident! The atmospshere is very friendly!
Wonderful studio and fantastic sunrise yoga with Preety. I’ll definitely be back!
Can't recommend Peoples Yoga enough! Amazing teachers, flexible scheduling and varied classes. I especially love their on-demand library -- it makes it much easier to keep consistent with a practice.
This is my first time trying yoga and I love it! I have been going for a few months now and it has made such a difference! Each session is different so all parts of your body get stretched and toned. A very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere! Sabrina is a great instructor! I have also enjoyed the two other instructors that I have worked with!
Wonderful studio with a warm community feel. I experienced 2 instructors- Misty and Sabrina, both very good at instructing, both those with yoga experience and those new to the yoga practice. Felt very welcomed in the class.
This studio has something for every body...beginner to advanced.
Gentle Flow with Misty is for anybody who wants to stay flexible with strength. Her knowledge of the practice and patience leaves no one behind, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned veteran. Don't let the words Gentle Flow fool you men. If you are 50 or older Gentle Flow should be a part of your weekly regime…
Peoples Yoga Studio is the best. I have taken many classes there from different teachers and have benefitted greatly. Peoples welcomes everyone and the prices are very reasonable. I taught yoga in the Greater Lansing Area for 30 years, and if anyone asks me where to take yoga classes or private yoga lessons, I always recommend Peoples Yoga Studio.
What a great time we had! Last yoga with the bride! Misty was amazing- the Bride loved the surprise!
What an incredible studio and instructor. I was in town visiting Lansing. My friend brought me here and I had the best session. The instructor was clearly knowledgeable and worked with all the different bodies in the room. I LOVED my hour of yoga here!
Exactly what I needed, even though I didn’t realize it till I was sitting on the mat, breathing in the peaceful Zen atmosphere of People’s Yoga. Thanks you Jennifer and Misty for the opportunity to present the “AAH” moment. I have been missing Monday morning sessions for a few weeks as life overwhelmed me. It is…
I LiveStream classes which are very convenient for me and provide the right amount of challenge for me.
I had a great class! The instructor did a great job of giving modifications for almost every move and I love that breaks are encouraged whenever needed. I took the Pilates/Yoga fusion class and it was a great mix of both. I will definitely be back!
People’s Yoga is my yoga home and the best studio in town. I’ve attended classes here at least twice a week for five years. The space is beautiful and serene. The teachers are all welcoming and supportive. There is a variety of class offerings - truly something for everyone. There is diversity in the students who…
Kenzie’s Yin class and Liz’s Barre class are my favorites
I have been going to People's Yoga since 2020 and love it here! There are instructors/styles of teaching that fit whatever you might be looking for. Misty's classes in particular are the perfect blend of challenging and grounding for me. It's a welcoming and supportive community, perfect for beginners and also…
I live in New Hampshire, and have been attending classes with Peoples Yoga via Zoom for several years. (I wish I lived close enough to attend in person!) All the teachers have been fabulous. I am currently focused on Yoga for Arthritis, which has helped me learn how to do yoga well with my aging body, adjusting the…
People's Yoga is 10/10. This is my favorite studio in Lansing. Class is not typically overpacked, and the energy is light, fun, and restorative. I practice yoga for the mind/body benefits, not to "work out". If that's your vibe, this is the studio for you. Shiloh is my personal favorite instructor. She takes you…
Misty, the owner, has cultivated a welcoming studio with so many options of different types of classes for various body types and levels. It truly is one of a kind and I could not recommend it more! Also, try multiple instructors. Everyone has their own style and different people will speak to you in different…
I absolutely love going to Kenzie's classes!
People’s yoga is a beautiful and peaceful studio. The teachers and community there are incredibly welcoming and accommodating to everyone! Variety of classes and times available to suit your schedule and taste. Definitely give them a try!
People’s Yoga was my place for building strength & health & endurance for several years. I have experienced physical setbacks in recent years and People’s Yoga now fills my current needs with more gentle & pain modulating opportunities each week. So I can recommend this studio for ages 18-80 and you can thank me later! 😎 Ned Curtis
Peoples Yoga has changed my husbands and my life. We are in our 60s, and the phyical benifits have been life changing for us. We love the the welcoming feeling the minure we walk in the door. Peoples Yoga classes have become our community.
I found Peoples Yoga 3 years ago and attend classes regularly. The teachers at Peoples Yoga are diverse in their education, having degrees and certifications to support their particular fields of interest. Shiloh is one such teacher, having a degree in Kinesiology she has helped me through a recent bout of…
In my life there have been a handful of discoveries/experiences that have had a huge impact on me and finding People's Yoga Studio several years ago has been one of them. Even after all these years I choose to stay in the "easy classes" but I am constantly learning more about my body and I am able to take what I…
BEST STUDIO BY FAR!! Go here if you want a great workout! Can’t recommend enough!
Yoga with Misty was always the best part of my day. Her laughter, compassion and understanding blended with an expansive technical knowledge of yoga made for a deeply nurturing experience. Wish I still lived in town! 💜
Peoples Yoga iis my favorite yoga studio of all time. The teachers are excellent, the studio space is beautiful with lots of natural light, and the vide is very supportive and welcoming. Going to weekly yoga at Peoples has been life changing for me.
Fantastic studio with a TON of options for finding a class(es) that work(s) for you. Wide variety of classes (difficulty/intensity, adaptive strategies, weights, aerial, wall, Pilates, core focus, etc.), lots of different instructors with various teaching styles, two studios to allow for staggering numerous classes…
Peoples yoga studio has given me all the classes I need online to pursue my mental and physical wellness. The classes are balanced and thorough. I am 70 years old, and have been taking classes through Peoples for 6 years. I have made progress in my strength and abilities that I didn’t think was possible. I highly…
This space is beautiful and the instructors are engaged and clearly well-trained. I found a new yoga home!❤️.
People's Yoga has a welcoming, supportive atmosphere and offers classes for a wide range of abilities—from chair yoga and slower-paced classes to more active flows. Whether you're looking to improve mobility, build strength and balance, reduce stress, or simply move in a way that feels good, there are options to…
Beautiful welcoming space with lots of class choices and fantastic teachers. Love it here
If you are looking for a place to practice yoga, Peoples Yoga is a studio you want to visit! I’ve had the opportunity to experience different teaching styles to find my “good fit.” The studio feels warm, comfortable and friendly. I am greeted by name and have gotten to know the names of many others in my classes.…
Misty has created a magical place in Lansing, where gifted and incredibly well-trained instructors offer a huge variety of classes in many formats. I have always, always had soul- and body nurturing experiences at Peoples Yoga, and would highly recommend it to beginners and advanced practitioners alike. Shiloh is…
people's yoga is a fantastic studio. they have props like straps and blocks, a huge array of classes varying in difficulty, and wonderful instructors. when i began coming to the studio i was pretty shy but the instructors and my fellow classmates welcomed me with kindness and became a little family. i usually take…
Very inclusive studio.
This is the absolute best studio in town! Such a nourishing place rich with community and knowledgeable, compassionate teachers. I highly recommend People's Yoga to everyone!
I feel my shoulders relax as soon as I walk in the door. People’s Yoga is a welcoming space for all bodies, and I always enjoy class here. I feel so lucky to have this supportive practice community in Lansing.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ll be honest—I used to think yoga was only for people who were already flexible, athletic, or experienced. After spending time at People’s Yoga, I realized how wrong I was. What makes this studio special is that it truly lives up to its motto: “Yoga for community. Yoga for every body. Yoga for you.”…
The classes always seem to be just right - if my neck has been bothering me or my knee is stiff, everything feels so much better after class.
I've been with owner Misty since she was at Hilltop Yoga about 15+ish years ago — where was impressed she was teaching yoga while pregnant. I've been a regular at Peoples Yoga since its inception and enjoyed classes with Misty and other teachers weekly/biweekly since. I appreciate Misty's down-to-earth balance…
I have been taking yoga classes for 13 years with Misty at Peoples Yoga and would highly recommend. I am stronger and more flexible but as my body ages increasingly the awareness and restorative benefits are most important. So many classes to choose from (livestream or in person) like chair yoga, intermediate and…
The teachers are very welcoming to new students and will help you get oriented to the studio. I recommend arriving about 10 minutes early, putting your shoes in a cubby, and grabbing a mat, blocks, and a blanket or bolster. The mats provided are high quality and free to use, just wipe them down after class.…
Misty has built a welcoming community over the years and a beautiful studio to nurture your practice. People are friendly, welcoming, and supportive. The teachers instruct and know what they’re doing. I always feel better after a class at People’s Yoga. We’re lucky to have this studio in mid- Michigan!
This place introduced me to yoga and helped me manage the anxiety of graduate school. Highly recommend trying it out, the are classes for every body at every age. Everyone is welcome
People's Yoga is a studio with amazing teachers. Misty and Shiloh were my very first yoga teachers over 15 years ago. They showed me how important yoga can be for your body and soul. The studio is a welcoming place for all people to practice. The instructors are so knowledgeable and genuine. They are so wonderful at…
I've been practicing at People's Yoga for about three years now and continue to look forward to every visit. I've taken classes with numerous instructors, but consider Sabrina my primary teacher. It's one of the few places where I can say that both my body and my mind are better for visiting.
I absolutely adore People’s Yoga Studio. I went to their aerial yoga classes for a year and got to know the instructors Piril, Moon, and Celine. Everyone was so supportive and I really felt so safe and excited to go to their classes every week. The aerial classes are amazing for counteracting bad posture at a…
Always a friendly environment. Easy to navigate studio and props. Especially enjoy Misty’s intermediate classes. Newcomer Daisy teaches a fun power flow too.
Without a doubt, Peoples Yoga offers some of the highest quality yoga experiences in the state of Michigan. All instructors are incredibly knowledgeable in teaching yoga to all levels and all bodies while also ensuring that classes focus on truly teaching yoga, not just leading an exercise class. From a training…
Great studio. Lots of different class offerings. The instructors are very good, and very helpful with adapting the practice for people with injuries or other limitations. I recommend trying out a class.
The instructors are so solid and dedicated. Even when it’s hard, they make it worth the effort.
Exceptional instructors and great facility. This place is a 10/10! I've only been to 50 class sessions, but every single one has been a positive experience. I recommend this establishment to anyone at any level!
I took my first aerial yoga class here with Elyse and it was so much fun! The instructor was very encouraging and welcomed beginners. I would love to come here regularly if I lived in town.
The absolute best studio. So welcoming and professional. The instructors are fantastic. They have a class for every person.
I cannot say enough good things about this studio. Misty has seen us through chronic illness, pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. She takes the time to get to know her clients and their body's needs, plus she makes it a welcoming space for those with physical limitations.
I’ve been enjoying going to my classes! Super fun and something I look forward to throughout my week!
Peoples Yoga Studio is my favorite in Lansing! I've been coming here on and off for over a year and have been to a variety of classes. The instructors are always so friendly and knowledgeable. It is a very inclusive space and I always feel comfortable, even with being at beginner level.
I love Kenzie’s Thursday night class! I love the diversity and inclusion of all the classes I’ve tried at People’s Yoga. Please support this awesome local business!
You know you need to do something to stay healthy but you don’t know what. I’m a 60+ man, and trust me there’s no better way to take care of yourself than at People’s Yoga. You HAVE to keep moving with intention and Dasharee is there to help. I’ve been on her class every week for just over a year and there’s no…
I participated in one of Kenzie’s sound bowl classes and it was a very calming experience. She did a fantastic job. Just what I was hoping for.
I love the Sunday morning class with Lindsay! I always leave feeling strong and refreshed. And ready to tackle my week. This is my regular class. Lindsay is welcoming, knowledgeable and sets a calm atmosphere. She always offers different options to meet you where you are that day. I can’t recommend her enough!!
People's Yoga Studio is a huge part of my wellness journey. I have seen such growth in my time here. The classes are adaptable with a just right mix of support and challenge. It's a great place.
People's is an amazing space for yoga. Welcoming and accessable for all abilities.
Daisy was wonderful!
I have been doing yoga for 30 years with the good fortune to have excellent teachers right from the beginning. Peoples Yoga came into my life nearer the end of those 30 years after I had retired and raised my family. Misty's Yoga for Arthritis Class is something I look forward to every week knowing it is perfect for…
Renee's pilates classes are great. She's great at giving options that work for each individual. And she's funny! Shilo has great classes. Love the readings she does at the beginning and end of classes. Makes sure everyone knows options for movements. Sabrina is great at describing movements and options while…
People’s yoga is so diverse and versatile, catering to all abilities. Shiloh’s sequences are intricately different every class and wholly effective each time. The general energy and demeanor of the studio and all instructors are positive, supportive, welcoming and encouraging. Keeps me coming back since they opened!💕 Much love.
Wonderful classes. Shiloh is great in leading us through the practice. When she demonstrates the poses, she also gives alternative moves as well as moves to go to the next level of practice.
Shiloh reads the room and helps all attain the best experience. Always has modifications and suggestions.
Oof, the Intermediate class is ALWAYS humbling in my journey toward practice. But today? Gabrielle's class was the perfect mix of instructional basics, practicing to understand/reaffirm, and then totally a butt-kicking workout. My arms and legs are literally shaking. I think tomorrow will be a rest day. I'll be back! <3
What I adore about this studio is the expansive options for every type of yoga practice; Mellow, Yin, Aerial, Sunrise, even a Fitness Flow ! (Etc) Many of these are ALSO offered virtually. There's something for everyone's body & schedule. I definitely have personal favorites....Misty's, Shiloh's, & Sabrina's…
An amazing studio. I look forward to visiting my parents just so I can go to this wonderful place. The attention to detail in every class is truly spectacular ❤️
So wonderful, positive, enlightening, & inclusive to all!
Three weeks ago, I walked into Peoples Yoga as a complete yoga rookie, the kind who Googled, "what to do if you get a charley horse at yoga class?" Now? I'm still terrible at yoga, but at least I leave every week feeling grounded and a little more human. Mary, who teaches the Yoga for Recovery class, might actually…
Preety is the best! No matter where you are in your yoga practice (beginner or standing on your head) she provides so many options for variations. Her directions are always very specific so you have a perfect understanding of what muscle you are targeting or stretching with every movement. Her morning classes…
Such an amazing class! I learned a lot including some new fun poses and transitions. Also a very calm and supportive environment. Thanks for a wonderful experience ☺️
