Challenge: Manual Curved Treadmill Transport from Garage to Basement<br><br>I want to chronicle my experience for the other manual curved treadmill owners.<br>It was quiet a conundrum ahead of us, and Terry, Larry, Kameron came to the rescue!<br>Long story short, we were successful.<br><br>I highly recommend Terry and the team for any of your manual curved treadmill transport needs.<br><br>To be honest, Terry's quotation was not the cheapest I got, but Terry gave me the most amount of confidence, and was very personable, and was readily available.<br>Terry's eagerness, knowledge, and availability won my business.<br>And my bet on Terry and his team was well rewarded with a very satisfactory challenge completion.<br>It was a well spent 45 minutes together with Terry, Larry, and Kameron.<br><br>See the Long story below :)<br><br>• Goal: Move manual curved treadmill base from garage to basement<br>• Challenge 1: Treadmill is wider than the door jambs at 34" wide<br>• Challenge 2: Treadmill is incredibly heavy at 330 lbs disassembled to bare bones (Fully assembled it weighs 418 lbs)<br>• Challenge 3: Only weight bearing surfaces on this treadmill was on the bottom side with the exposed metal frame, the other front/back, either sides, top surfaces could not bear weight or provide grab/lift points<br>• Challenge 4: My stairway down to the Basement has a 180 degree bend with 2 bends,<br>and the first half is narrower than 34" with the fully enclosed walls, and wooden handrails,<br>and the second half was more forgiving with no handrails and 35" width down the stairs<br><br>My goal was to move the base of the treadmill from the garage to the Basement.<br><br>The challenge was many.<br><br>The beast of a treadmill base weighing 330 lbs even with everything that can be disassembled already disassembled (Fully assembled, the thing weighs 418 lbs),<br>and without a good way to lift it was the first challenge.<br><br>There were only 2 ways to transport this treadmill base.<br>Because the metal frame of the treadmill base is only exposed along the bottom side, with no weight bearing surfaces available at the front/back, either sides, or top surfaces.<br><br>Only 2 ways to transport it<br>was to lift straight up, keeping it level and horizontal by grabbing the metal frame below,<br>or<br>put it lightly and only for a short amount of time on the side plastic trim while lifting most of the weight grabbing the metal frame as to not damage the side plastic trims, and then quickly putting it back in the horizontal orientation to remove the load on the plastic side trims.<br><br>Treadmill is so wide at 34", and long at 82", plus 18" tall, it was wider than most door jambs.<br><br>Even my front door could not fit this Treadmill width through unless the screen door shock/spring and the main door was completely disassembled off the front door frame.<br><br>So, that is what we ended up doing, taking the screen door and the main door off the door frame completely to fit the treadmill through.<br><br>THEN CAME THE STAIRWELL.<br><br>First half was narrower than 34" width of the Treadmill with walls all around and a wooden handrail.<br>This was the most difficult part where we managed to carefully put the treadmill vertical, and then diagonally, sparingly using the side plastic trim to touch the stairs (covered with padded cloth), but all the while lifting enough weight grabbing the metal frame as to not damage the plastic trim on the side.<br><br>Second half was much more manageable as it was just wider at 35", allowing the treadmill to orient horizontally, and movers strap could be used under the treadmill, hoisting it off the metal frame, to move it down the stairs.<br><br>They say people bond over enduring through the same hard challenge,<br>and heck we were building a sort of camaraderie just after 45 minutes or so of meeting for the first time because of overcoming this challenge together.<br><br>It was unexpected how a manual curved treadmill transport challenge brings people together :)<br>*Edited to correct the name spelling

Terry and his crew were incredibly professional and friendly. They were respectful of our items and home. They took great care to make sure furniture, walls, etc. were not damaged! I am so incredibly pleased with the service I received and the price I paid. It is easy in this economy to feel like you are overpaying and being taken advantage of but with this company you truly feel like you are in good hands. I had to ask for extra business cards because I will be recommending this company to everyone I know! 10/10 stars.

5*/5*!!! I called last moment looking to get some larger items in my apartment moved out before my lease ended. Within 24 hours someone was outside my apartment ready to work! Prices were the lowest of the few places I called! Work was done with care and they made sure to be extra cautious coming down the 3 flights of stairs! Call them now if you need any help with moving, you won’t be disappointed!
