Guests consistently praise the historic venue's aesthetic, the quality of the food provided by Clementine Catering, and the helpfulness of the coordination staff in planning weddings and memorials. However, several low-star reviews cite significant issues with management, including hostile interactions, unenforced written agreements, and conflicts over external vendors or personal property. The mixed feedback highlights a contrast between positive event execution and negative experiences with owner communication.

The PD House was such a beautiful setting for our wedding. Grace was very helpful with offering suggestions and coordinating our rentals since we had a larger tent reception. We wanted a vintage/cozy feel to our wedding and they delivered exactly that. The staff were very friendly, and even saved us a plate of appetizers for our seats after cocktail hour. Couldn’t recommend them enough!!

Grace was wonderful to work with through the whole process of planning our daughter’s wedding. The staff was also friendly, welcoming and accommodating on the day of the wedding. I cannot say enough about the food!! Everything was delicious. We received many compliments from guests on the food. This property is beautiful. It’s conveniently located within 15 min of hotels. This venue will not disappoint.

We truly could not have imagined a more perfect place for our wedding than the Peterson-Dumesnil House. The venue itself is absolutely stunning — historic, elegant and full of character, while still offering all of the modern touches and conveniences you want when hosting an event. It created exactly the warm, intimate and beautiful atmosphere we had envisioned for our day.
And then there was Grace! She was an absolute dream to work with from beginning to end. Her communication was excellent, she was incredibly responsive, and the entire planning process felt genuinely collaborative. Grace really listened to what was important to us and helped us create a celebration that felt completely our own.
We wanted our wedding to feel warm, elegant and memorable, with incredible food and an atmosphere where our guests could truly relax and enjoy themselves — and that is exactly what Grace and the team delivered. The food was amazing, everything came together beautifully, and we were able to enjoy the day knowing we were in such capable hands.
If you are considering the Peterson-Dumesnil House for your wedding, I cannot recommend the venue, Grace and the entire team highly enough. It was everything we hoped for and more, and we will always be grateful for the role they played in our special day.

OMG Worst DJ ever! If you are going to subject the neighborhood to that volume of music could you at least ensure there is some talent? Garbage at high volume is still just garbage.

We’re sorry the event noise was disruptive to you. While the music was provided by the private event host and not the Peterson Dumesnil House, we understand that events can impact our neighbors. We appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention and will continue to be mindful of our neighborhood when hosting events.

Our daughter’s wedding was at this venue this past weekend and it was outstanding! The staff and facilities are second to none, and we can’t say enough about Grace, who had facilitated our booking and the wedding! Highly recommend to anyone searching for a venue!

We had a really good experience with PDH all around!
We got a TON of compliments on the PDH venue and just as many on the food! Clementine catering did an excellent job. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding.

This house is gorgeous and very ornate. If you have the opportunity, definitely come for their 4th of July celebration. The silent auction, food and drink booths, as well as a bunch of local artists booths, and entertainment are wonderful, also everyone brings their dogs so what's not to like? You should absolutely visit.
