Mr. Injeian is clearly a master of his craft. When my bridge and soundpost collapsed, he expertly fixed everything while letting me sit next to him and explaining everything to me. He could even tell when things were millimeters off using only his eyes. As a person, he is very blunt, but I preferred that to sugarcoating everything. Would definitely recommend to any other musicians.

Response from the owner · 4 weeks ago

Thank you for the great review, Brayden. I hope you learned a few things while you were in the shop, and I'm glad my bluntness didn't offend you. I definitely call it like I see it! Please be sure to visit again for regular maintenance on your instrument and bow. -- Phillip

Took my daughter's violin in to repair a broken bridge. We were up sold on a couple of extras which I was okay with given the amount of time she spends playing. Initially, the violin most certainly sounded better than it did before the bridge broke. Unfortunately, after 6 months the bridge broke again whereas her previous bridge lasted 2 years. The shop did not stand by their work and blamed it on how she maintained the instrument. I took it to another shop run by a friend of a friend whom I trust and the feedback was "the bridge was too thin in all the wrong places". I will not be going back again, especially at the price I paid for the repair.

Mr. Boehm, I'm sorry if I gave you the impression that I will not stand behind my work, because I most certainly will. You had made an appointment to bring the violin to my shop this past Tuesday, but you did not show up to give me an opportunity to look at the bridge to determine what caused it to break. In my 50+ years as a luthier, I've made thousands of bridges, each one custom-made and fitted for the specific instrument it will be used on. A bridge has to withstand great pressure from the tension of the strings, and, yes, sometimes they fail. Again, I welcome the opportunity to see the bridge and will replace it if the fault was mine. -- Phillip Injeian

Phillip is super professional and knows how can make the viola sounds much better than before. He took care of the viola plus the rehair of the bow for me in just one day so that I can use that for the rehearsal coming up. This shop is absolutely professional and provides excellent service. Highly recommend!

I recently came in to fix my cello’s fingerboard that had detached. Mr. Injeian sat with me and discussed other structural issues then took my instrument, and within a week (less time than anticipated!) he completely transformed it. He even did extras on it without charge! My cello was cleaned, got a quality bridge and sound post replacement, a fingerboard rescaling, and new varnish. My instrument has never sounded better, and I would recommend him to anyone in the area for instrument maintenance. Mr. Injeian knows exactly what he is doing, and he does everything for a very reasonable price! I will most definitely be coming back in the future.

Tommy, thank you for the great review. I'm glad that you're pleased with the transformation of your cello, both in how it looks and how it sounds. Please see me for regular maintenance to keep it looking and sounding its best! -- Phillip

It would be an absolute CRIME for me to not leave a review for this business. First off, this guy is the REAL DEAL. Vast knowledge and experience in this craft, and is just that… a craftsmen. Complete and full attention to detail and absolute care for the instrument. I won’t even go into my full story, but I will just say that I took a rough instrument there knowing nothing about it, but only that I needed to make it work so that my friend could learn how to play it, and Philip was not only straight forward with me about what situation we were dealing with, but then went above and beyond to help with this when probably no other reputable shop would have. The work was more than what it was worth, but he offered me a reasonable price to do the least that could be done to make this instrument playable which I paid and left the violin to be picked up the next day. Upon picking it up, I could tell that he went above and beyond and did more than what I could afford but did so out of kindness and love for the magic of restoration of this instrument. He explained every detail and not just what he did, but WHY. It was as if I’d picked up a different instrument than the one I had left the day before. Fantastic guy. We talked some music history before I left. Very down to earth place and I would be guilty if I didn’t mention how sweet and helpful Vicky (Vickie?) was at the front desk. Everyone in this shop is knowledgeable and will make you feel comfortable no matter the situation.

I don't often write reviews, but in this case I would be remiss if I did not leave one. Victoria was nothing shy of first class in assisting me, extremely responsive and patient! I'm an adult beginner, with a sub 1k instrument, and she took the time to explain everything, provide tips, and let me know what all the shop could do for me as I continue to move forward. I cannot recommend enough!
