Reviewers frequently praise the veterinary team for their patience, clear communication, and compassionate care with difficult or large pets. Many clients highlight the facility's reasonable pricing and the staff's ability to handle emergency situations with dedication. However, lower-rated feedback cites significant issues with facility cleanliness, long wait times, and a perceived lack of empathy during sensitive appointments. Some customers also reported billing errors and dissatisfaction with the clinic's refusal to accept walk-in emergencies.

Great staff. Knowledgeable and they were calming knowing I was there for an emergency.
I went with a friend to have his dog put down, unfortunately. Appointment was for 10am. We waited for almost 2 hours to get in there. The facility smelled awful. I know it is an animal clinic, but where I take my cat doesnt smell like that at all. Spiders were hanging from the ceiling and walls in the bathroom. I was a bit freaked out about that. What got me was the lack of compassion and decency the staff had. I took my parents to get one of there dogs of 14 years to Spartanburg to get put down. They were so compassionate with my parents it brought me to tears. Part of working with animals is having compassion and decency for one another with pets included. I would never recommend this place. It use to be decent. In my opinion a d experience, not anymore. Thank you.
Great doctors and staff who really know there stuff and who are patient while explaining what's going on with your pet and answering any questions you have.
We take all our kitties and dogs there. Dr Reid Wilkins is straightforward, honest, and reasonably priced. His staff is supportive and friendly.
Dr Wilkins and his staff are the best. I have two German Shepherds and have been taking them to Piedmont Animal Hospital for 3 years. My male GSD has intimidated and scared of vets in the past but neither Dr Wilkins nor his staff have a problem treating him. Dr Wilkins spayed my female and I never had a dog recover that smoothly and quickly. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. Great care at very reasonable price!
Absolute best vet around. I have been going here for around 15 years. Dr Reed has always been so good to my animals ❤️. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.
Dr Reed and all his staff are just wonderful, caring and pleasant
The only place I feel safe taking my large, high energy huskies. I can tell this place really cares for its communities' animals. We do not live in Gaffney, but do not mind the drive. Beautiful countryside with cows and rolling pastures. Not a skyscraper in sight. I will never take my animals anywhere else after hearing the story of a woman in the waiting room. I was waiting for one of my dogs to be brought to me, and a woman told me how her dog was hit by a car and all the other animal hospitals in the area recommended that her dog be put down. Animal Piedmont hospital was able to amputate the dog's leg and save her life. When I tell you this dog was running around the waiting room like nothing had ever happened to her, I mean it. She ran right up to my husband and enjoyed some belly pats before we left. Thank you for saving her, and thank you for your amazing staff. You have earned our lifetime loyalty.
Dr Wilkins is a wonderful vet. He treats your animals as if they were his own. He saved my dogs life. He removed a very large tumor . His stag is exceptional and very caring . My beagle had the best care we could ask for. Thank you Dr Wilkins and staff!
