We have a sloped backyard and worked with Pleasant Surroundings to put in a retaining wall. From the initial estimate, Chris left a great impression for multiple reasons, being genuine, knowledgeable and insightful. We felt our project would be in good hands and they proved us right. Chris is very easy to work with and takes great pride in what he does. He and his team did a wonderful job. We would work with them again on future projects and highly recommend them to others.

Had rain water erosion issues in my sloping backyard and struggled for months to get good communication and follow up from 3 companies I tried. But Chris was super quick to respond and get me an estimate and get the work done. Installed a back wall to help with rain run off and added huggable boulders to the landscape to help terrace. Great communication and follow up throughout.

I had a great experience working with Chris and his team at Pleasant Surroundings. They removed an old gravel path, dug out a grass area, installed a new stepping stone path, and prepped new garden beds with soil and mulch. Chris was easy to work with — very communicative and collaborative. He was patient when I was on the fence about what type of path I wanted — he brought me different samples, went to multiple stores to look for alternatives I might like, and when I ultimately decided on natural stepping stone, he hunted down a pallet with the perfect sized stones and met me at the quarry to make sure I was happy with it. He was also very quick to respond to questions, texts, and calls throughout the entire process. His crew was friendly, efficient, and hard-working, and Chris was always on-site. The project turned out exactly how I hoped, and I’d be happy to hire Pleasant Surroundings again.

The owner, Chris no showed followed by no communication before even starting any potential work. I have still not heard back. I decided to move on based on the lack of communication. I would not recommend this company.
