They catered our wedding last weekend, the tastiest taco bar, and we could not have possibly been happier! Not only was the food delicious but the staff was a real delight, so kind and friendly. We definitely recommend them if your looking for great food, excellent service, and seamless communication.
Portland Catering Company really failed on my order. I reached out specifically to get food safe items for my guests with severe food allergies. They provided desserts contaminated with tree nuts, eggs & gluten. I happened to ask on the event day if they were safe as I was setting them in the "safe for people with allergies" table, and found out that they were not. If I had not asked, we would have had at least 8 guests with severe reactions and hospitalization. They attempted to fix it on the day of by saying they would refund the desserts and try to find something my guests could eat. The delivery person found a grocery store dozen mini cupcakes which we were able to set out. That person was very helpful, but the management team really dropped the ball. They did not contact me after the event, and I reached out multiple times before I got a response about the partial refund. They replied that they were going to send a check - but they didn't have my address. They were going to mail it to the event venue. After some back and forth they agreed to refund my credit card. I did receive the partial refund eventually, but I would not recommend this company if your guests have allergies or if anything goes wrong as the management team didn't handle the refund well and was not responsive.
We've used Portland Catering twice for some large group events and have had a great experience with them! The service (from the initial quote and billing to the arrival of food) has always been wonderful and timely. The meals themselves have been fantastic and we will continue to use them for events in Portland!
