We were absolutely delighted with our recent experience at Pounce Hawai’i. This was our first time booking and it was an all around great process, from booking, to scheduling and all of the details in between. Our 3 cats were well cared for with booked extra play time at their Cooke St. location. As an added bonus, all of the cats have easily transitioned to using the pellet litter at their facility and I couldn’t be happier! Highly recommend Pounce and will definitely book with them again when needed in the future.

Pounce Hawaii is an absolutely incredible company! I felt safe leaving my cat with them in boarding during a life transition. They are fantastic communicators, sent photos upon request, and accommodated when I needed to interrupt her stay with a vet visit. The staff were friendly and professional!
If you need a hands on company that is both understanding and communicative, Pounce Hawaii should be your first choice!

I was very happy with my experience with Pounce! My cat had never boarded before but she came back in good spirits, and seemed pretty unbothered but being out of her home (which for a cat is a compliment). I opted to have her brushed a couple of times for long hair and she came home very clean, no mats. The pictures they sent were very cute too!
It is maybe a bit on the expensive side, but I think for the quality of care it felt appropriate and compared to boarding my dog it was quite reasonable. I also appreciated the upfront pricing which ended up being exactly what I paid.

We've been bringing our two cats here, the past couple of years, whenever our family goes on vacation (about 2-3 times a year). It's not a place to just "drop off" your cats, but a place where your cats will be taken care of by knowledgeable staff and people who genuinely care for cats. Rest assured, our cats are safe and loved under the wonderful care of Pounce Hawaii whenever we are off-island.

Please keep distance from this place! The people who runs the business think only about money and not about the cats sake! My cat came home with stomach aches She got kind of food poisoning! These people don’t have any knowledge about cats passing! Overall this place cost me 10 time more than I expected because all the vet’s bills to pay! and the last thing to say about pounce Hawaii is…. I never got a legal invoice from them! and why they doing this? I guess is the way to avoid to pay taxes …..

Aloha Mathilda -- We appreciate the time you took to leave a review, but we're shocked because the experience your cat had at Pounce, and our communication with you during that time, does not reflect this review. Therefore, we find it necessary to correct some of these points.
During boarding, your cat had no issues eating or using the litter box. It is normal for cats to be nervous at the beginning of boarding, which your cat was for the first night. However, after day 2, she was very social and acclimated smoothly; you can see this in the complimentary pictures we sent you. We were never informed about your cat's stomach after checkout. We're sorry to hear she had this issue at home, but we can assure you that there were no signs of any digestive issues during boarding. We recommend you make an appointment with her vet if the stomach upset continues. We do know that travel to and from any location can be stressful for a cat, and adjusting back home from boarding can also be stressful; perhaps this contributed to the upset.
We sent you several invoices/receipts, remaining balances, and a total summary of your cat's stay including boarding details and your payments amounts/dates. We also waived the late checkout fee on the day of checkout because you voiced unhappiness with paying it. This fee is clearly stated in our Terms and Conditions, which all clients must sign, to ensure our staff can clean and disinfect the suites promptly for the next guest.
We enjoyed having your cat board with us. Over the years we've cared for kitties, she proved very social and playful, acclimating easily to the boarding atmosphere.
We feel we accommodated your requests to ensure you and your cat had a positive experience, so we're not sure where the disconnect is. However, we always strive to make things right, so we invite you to email us directly so we can try to rectify this issue further.

An absolute home away from home for our cat!
Leaving a beloved pet behind when going on vacation is never easy, but this wonderful place gives us complete peace of mind every single time. Our cat is so comfortable here—he genuinely loves staying with them and can’t get enough cuddles ❤️!
It is such a comfort knowing he isn't just being looked after, but is truly cared for and loved while we’re away. Knowing he’s happy, safe, and getting all the affection he could want makes our trips entirely worry-free.
