I contacted this office seeking legal assistance with a divorce matter and requested clarification regarding proper filing jurisdiction. Specifically, I asked whether I should file in the county of the opposing party’s residence or in my own county, where I have resided for more than 90 days. The receptionist stated she was unsure and did not want to provide incorrect information. I then asked whether the question could be directed to an attorney for clarification; however, she declined and reiterated that she did not want to misinform me, while still advising that I was outside of the firm’s service area based on the other party’s residence. This response was both inaccurate and nonresponsive to the question presented. Despite acknowledging uncertainty, the receptionist provided a definitive conclusion without verification and declined to escalate the inquiry to someone qualified to answer it. As a result, I was improperly discouraged from pursuing services despite appearing to meet the applicable residency requirements. This reflects a breakdown in basic intake procedures and raises concerns regarding the reliability of information provided to prospective clients. Greater diligence and appropriate escalation protocols are necessary to ensure individuals are not misinformed or deterred from accessing legal services.

I called and asked if they do bankruptcy cases, she confirmed, and asked me if its first time calling or existing client, I said first time. She then proceeded to ask me for my personal information and once she had all my contact info, she let me know they can't help because they are not taking new cases. I'd like to know why she pretended like she can help and get all my info? Can you please delete all of my info from your system if I am not going to be your client? UPDATE: attorney herself called and explained the situation and she will try to help me after she's back from vacation. I'll update again after. I appreciate you reaching out.

Though I can not comment on Lauren’s legal expertise just yet her character definitely required a praise. Due to a scheduling mishap we could have our initial consultation however she quickly called me later in the day to explain the situation and listened to my case impromptu. I found out important information I was not prevy to in which case she could not represent me at the moment but she still offered me guidance and didn’t just hang up. This was just the ray of hope I needed. I’m a clueless first time mom , first generation American and still young / naive so with out her direction I would not have known next steps.
