Powerflow Yoga

I love the variety of classes Powerflow offers and have been practicing yoga for over 25 years. I recently switched over to the Clifton studio to take a Fusion class. Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience in Maria Alessi’s class. The instruction was poor, and some of the form guidance seemed incorrect, making it difficult to feel confident that I was practicing safely. She would move from one pose to another within the span of 10 seconds, leaving little time to settle into a position or properly follow the sequence. I have taken Fusion classes with many different instructors and have never experienced anything like this. On top of that, she was yelling for practically the entire class, creating an uncomfortable and stressful atmosphere. I understand that Fusion is meant to be upbeat and energetic, but the class felt more like a theatrical performance than a yoga practice. I left feeling broken rather than refreshed, which was especially disappointing given my years of practice and love for the studio. Please note that the Clifton studio as a whole is great, and I truly hope this experience does not deter me from returning. Quite honestly, I just want to enjoy a challenging Fusion class that is WELL INSTRUCTED, safely guided, and leaves me feeling stronger and more centered not completely drained and discouraged!!!!!!!! I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I would love to continue practicing at Powerflow.

Today I brought my sister who came from Mexico to try hot yoga. She was so excited! But unfortunately Kimm was out and there was a substitute her name is kimmi i totally got the names mixed up. When i realized that kimm was not the instructor I ran out the yoga room to talk to someone. The person in the front desk was so polite and understood the mix up. The manager came out and she got so angry was rude and loud, she took what I was saying and explaining to personal. All I was trying to explain was my sister has never used the ropes and her English is not good at all. She had done regular yoga. I immediately got worried when heard kimmi telling us to grab the ropes. Manager was not professional at all and being that this is a place where mindfulness is practiced just makes me wonder?!

I have been coming to Powerflow for nine years now. The teachers—literally all of them at this location—are so passionate that it makes me sad when their classes aren’t overflowing with students. I hope everyone reading this review will take the time to check out Powerflow Clifton. They really prepare your body to flow into some of the more challenging poses you never imagined you could do. It’s incredible how all of them have years of experience, and I feel that before they stop teaching for any reason, people should go and benefit from their practice. I feel so grateful after every class I take here. God bless each and every instructor who teaches and continues to carry forward this amazing journey of Powerflow. 🙏

I've been attending this yoga studio for years, and I can't say enough good things about it! The staff is always so nice, creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The instructors are truly fantastic, especially Maria – I absolutely love her fusion classes. The music they play is fun and energizing, making every session enjoyable. The classes themselves are both engaging and effective, leaving you feeling great afterward. My only wish is that they offered more fusion classes, as those are my absolute favorite. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to improve their yoga practice!

From flows that build strength to sequences that focus on flexibility and mindfulness, every class feels like it’s tailored to help you grow and push your limits. The instructors know how to create an environment that is both encouraging and peaceful, and they’re wonderful at guiding students of all levels. One of the biggest benefits I’ve experienced is the improvement in my hip mobility. The thoughtful adjustments and targeted stretches have made a noticeable difference, and I feel more flexible and less stiff in my everyday movements. Powerflow has truly helped me build a stronger, healthier body, and I couldn’t recommend it more!

Rebecca’s class was challenging and invigorating. The pace was good and I felt like I got a really good workout and stretch. Highly recommend her classes.

I have been a yogi at this studio since 2015 - the teachers and the community is what makes me come back every week. Every teacher has their own style and story and if you take the time to get to know them and experience their flow you won’t be disappointed.

I had a great experience during my first week at Powerflow Clifton. I plan on buying the monthly membership because I really enjoy the vibe and the range of classes that are offered. I always am looking forward to my next class. They offer a variety of yoga classes. In one week, I did hot yoga and yin as well. It is nice to finally find a yoga studio I really enjoy!
