We had a structural engineer recommend 3 piers in our home in 2020. Power Lift put them in. In January 2026 we asked for them to come back out to see if we needed more. We had a crack near our shower and we were looking to sell our house soon so we wanted to be proactive. We were told we did not need piers. The foundation was fine. It was due to the lack of rain and the crack wasn't on an exterior wall. I asked if it was moral and ethical to cover the crack and paint it and he said yes! Once under contract in June 2026, the buyers requested they come out. Power Lift said we needed 7 piers! Our realtor called and they said it had moved just enough to cause them concern. We called the structural engineer back out and he said it looked the same it did 6 years ago except he could see where they fixed a crack when putting in the piers he recommended. He said, "imagine a pier company recommending piers." This makes me think Power Lift is taking advantage of people in housing contracts to recommend piers that aren't needed to line their pockets.
