Customers at Precision Auto Repair frequently cite fair pricing, thorough vehicle inspections, and clear communication regarding repair options and costs. The shop handles various services including electrical diagnostics, maintenance, and towing assistance, often accommodating out-of-town customers and older vehicles. While most reviews highlight efficient scheduling and honest recommendations, a few lower-rated comments mention extended repair durations for complex issues or concerns about the use of broken parts without explicit notification.

Precision Auto has been servicing my vehicles for over five years. I have been very satisfied with their work and ease of scheduling a time to bring in the vehicle in. Their charges for work done have always been fair and they are very thorough in inspecting and presenting the condition of the entire vehicle. Because I believe them to be honest and competent, I highly recommend Precision Auto.

I’m about 3 hours away and was looking at purchasing a truck in the area, so I wanted to have it inspected before making the trip. Trevor was incredibly helpful and transparent throughout the entire process. He gave me a clear rundown of the good, as well as the things I should be aware of moving forward.
I really appreciated his honesty and thoroughness, especially since I couldn’t be there in person. If I lived in the area, I would absolutely use them for any future repairs or maintenance. Highly recommend!

We really appreciate this review. A pre-purchase inspection for someone we can’t meet face to face comes down to trust, so we make sure the rundown is clear, honest, and complete, good and bad. Trevor will be thrilled to hear it landed that way. Thank you for the recommendation, and if you’re ever up our way, we’d be glad to meet you in person!

We really appreciate this review! Our whole team works to make the experience easy, from the first phone call to the finished repair, and clear communication is a big part of that. Thank you for trusting us with your vehicle. We’ll be here whenever you need us, and we’d be glad to help anyone you send our way.
These guys are great. They do what they promise, make recommendations for other specialties as necessary, and charge exactly what they bid. I went there because their tv ad sounded as tho they treated all people (in my case a senior woman) with respect and they do. I highly recommend recommend!

Thank you so much for the kind words! Treating every customer with respect is the whole idea behind how we run the shop, so it means a lot to hear that came through, especially from someone who found us through our ad. We’re glad we could keep you informed about the other maintenance items, and we appreciate you trusting us with your car.
Fixed an electrical gremlin that was plaguing me for over a year. Took them less than an hour to diagnose and fix. Looks like I have a good new mechanic for all my vehicles.

Thank you! Electrical issues can definitely be some of the trickiest to track down, so we’re glad we could finally put that gremlin to rest. We really appreciate your trust and are honored to be your new go-to shop. Looking forward to taking care of all your vehicles!
My car broke down on 99. They made it very easy to get my car to them and helped me with local towing and went out of their way to help with the warranty. (Im from out of town.) They're price was extremely reasonable and they were very professional. Absolutely recommend their service.

Thank you so much for the kind words! We know breaking down away from home can be incredibly stressful, so we’re glad we could make the process a little easier—from helping with the tow to assisting with your warranty. It was our pleasure to get you back on the road. We truly appreciate the recommendation and are glad you found us. Safe travels!
Good people working here, they always treat me and my vehicle well. And to the gals- these are the only mechanics in Chico that haven’t tried to get one over on me! 10/10
