I highly recommend Sunday burn class with Nicole Dockxx her classes are challenging and worth every bit of sweat! I always feel 💯 better when I walk out of a class at Pure Fire! And shout out to instructor Melissa who was beside me in class and motivated me to finish strong. Thank you Pure Fire!
I really enjoyed the studio and class. It’s an incredibly friendly environment and the class was challenging. Definitely felt like I was maximizing my exercise allocation time. I’m so glad to have found this studio!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Thanks Colleen for taking the time to write us a review! We’re glad you both found us! Hope to see you soon!
I arrived one minute late to the class and couldn’t get in. The metro station close to the studio is not working and one has to take a shuttle from a nearby station; this is what caused my delay. The studio should update its information on how accesible it is, since the Bethesda metro station is not open and therefore the instructions to how to get there are not true to the current state of things. It is a shame, but I am afraid it is not worth it to make it all the way there for one class.
PureFire is a fantastic space! Its been a while since I found a spot that encompasses all the things I want in a yoga studio- good class structure, reliable and good instructors, HOT classes (I seek the heat, and I like that they offer this and stay true to the temp), and most importantly, a laid back environment that is welcoming to many different personalities, characters and practitioners. You can really come here and be yourself and get a genuine and good practice! All instructors are excellent and unique in their own way. You will find the ones you love, and you will enjoy all the rest! This is good because it means the teachers and classes aren’t cookie cutter and generic, it gives everyone the ability to find their vibe and flow. I have only good things to say about everyone there.
-Christina’s restore classes are a staple of my week, she is very calming, clear, and soothing. She knows the body well. I find these classes healing. Her power flow classes are really fun, creative and charming.
-Lisa’s power 2.0 class was my first and favorite 2.0 class at PureFire, she takes you on a journey that keeps your body guessing, while still respecting the foundations of the flow.
-Marcus and Nicole also lead excellent power 2.0. Classes, they are structured, direct, while building special and wonderful connections with the room.
-Andrea and Jessica both have really soothing tones, yet they still command the room and lead us through excellent, challenging, and satisfying flows.
-Jean is fabulous, I don’t go to cathedral enough to catch her, but talk about soothing vibes! She is one of a kind.
-Jill is lots of fun, she always leads a strong and unique class! Great energy, and a creative strengthening flow!
-Matt is kind and empathizes well with the room. You feel seen and cared for. Great playlist. He also leads a very cool breath work class that is a must try!
If I missed anyone, it’s likely because I don’t generally make those class times, but as i said, everyone at PureFire is great in their own way!

Thank you Zaina for taking the time write us a thoughtful review. Have a great day and we'll see you soon!
(Updating to add Andrea J.) In addition to all the teachers at Purefire who are all amazing, I want to focus on a recent class I took from Andrea J. -- She has such a wise and soothing energy that she brings to class, it is clear she is a very skilled and knowledgeable practitioner. And she ALSO gets me to surpass myself, by inviting me to go further (all safely).
Strong recommendation.
As a longtime power yoga practitioner, this is one of my favorite yoga studios in the DC metro area. Heated Baptiste Power Yoga — classic. (This is what they call their “Power 2.0” offering.) They also have updated versions of 26/2 (Bikram) and others.
