Our son has been going to PY rock in North Bergen for a year now and we love it. I knew we were in good hands when I heard kids playing modern cool music and we met the teacher - Abraham. Abraham really took his time to teach our son some basics about music and how it’s everywhere. He’s also super patient and kind. My son loves him and we love the school. I hope they implement DJ classes soon as I think that would be a super cool skill and song writting.

ABRAHAM ROCKS!
STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS POSSIBLE. I went to this music school to learn drums. I got into an accident where I broke my collar bone. I attempted to call so many times and it was impossible to get in touch with the right location and no one can help you when it comes to billing. This caused me to get dressed, while being injured, and head to this location to cancel my classes before they hit me with cancelation fees or I lost my money. We put my classes on hold because they do not offer refunds. I asked for a refund but they said when I got better I could go back and take the classes. I was in an arm slink for 3 months, when the time came that I was ok the last thing on my mind was going back to the classes. I forgot about this and then about a year later, I went to PY Rock asking if I can get a refund or take guitar lessons instead. I got told that they will contact management and get back to me. They never did. Now I went back today, another year later, to ask for a refund because they have my money for something I never used. I have stopped playing instruments as I did. They brought it up to the owner and he said because there has been so much time since he will not offer a refund. From the get the structure of how the billing is done sounded sketchy. You have to pay for the month in full but if you were to cancel your membership you have to do it prior to the first day of the month otherwise you will be charged another month before they let you cancel. Lastly, while I am rating this place with a low score, I will say that the instructors are very friendly and show that they care. This is more of an PSA on how the backend works. Not sure how effect this review will be but I sure do hope it saves someone else the headache.
Dear Chris, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you faced during your recovery and the challenges you encountered with our billing process. We understand how frustrating it must have been, and we deeply regret that our communication didn’t meet your expectations, especially when you were dealing with a personal injury. We understand that due to your accident, you were unable to attend classes two years ago. At the time, you accepted credits for future lessons, as refunds were not part of our policy, and we appreciate your understanding of that. We regret that you’re now requesting a full refund, and we acknowledge the frustration this situation may have caused. Since that time (two years ago), our school has undergone management changes, which may have contributed to the delays in communication. Nevertheless, we take full responsibility and will do our best to make things right. We will be reaching out to you directly to further discuss this matter. Our goal is always to improve, and feedback like yours helps us identify areas where we can do better. Thank you again for your kind words about our instructors. They work hard to create a positive learning environment, and we are glad that this aspect of your experience was a positive one. Warm regards, PY Rock North Bergen
These guys are awesome! My teacher Rose is so understanding, and gives me great material to practice with!
Roses are red Violets are blue Professor Rose is the best And you should come to this school!
I’ve been learning here since jasmine was at the front desk the service here is the best. Christian the music teacher has helped me so much in my journey to learn the drums and his band class is so much fun, always listening and caring to students feed back and feelings in the band. With the addition of rose, the new music teacher, I’ve been learning much faster with the power duo. Would totally recommend this school!
