We had a broken valve stem on our RV, we called to see if they could help us and he said just come by!
We pulled and were immediately helped!
Fast, efficient and reliable work, and affordable!
Now we can get back on the road safely!
I would give this experience zero stars if I could.
I arrived at this shop after getting off work with an extremely flat tire and a spare underneath my car, hoping to get it changed quickly so I could get home. The attendant told me he did not have the tools necessary to remove the spare from underneath my vehicle and proceeded to tell me I would need to purchase a used tire for $85. I explained that another shop down the street offered a comparable price, but he was unwilling to work with me. No problem.
I then asked if he could simply put air in my tire so I could safely make it to the other shop. His exact response was, “Why don’t you go to them for air then?” When I asked whether it was safe to drive on an extremely flat tire, he shrugged his shoulders. He then told me it would cost $5 to put air in the tire.
I agreed to pay the $5 without hesitation. However, he continued mumbling under his breath and acting as though helping me was an inconvenience. I mentioned that the shop down the street was much more accommodating and willing to help. When I asked whether he accepted card payments, he told me, “No, don’t worry about it.”
So, I am left wondering: Is air actually $5, or was that charge being used selectively? I even offered to pay $20, $40, or $50 because I wanted to make it clear that money was not the issue. I have absolutely no problem paying for good, fair, and respectful service. What I do have a problem with is being treated rudely when I am simply asking for assistance with a safety concern.
After a long day at work, the last thing I expected was to be treated with such an unwelcoming attitude, especially when I observed other customers receiving a different level of service.
I will also be reporting this experience to the Better Business Bureau because I believe customers deserve transparency, professionalism, and basic courtesy.
Thankfully, Mucas Tire Shop down the street showed genuine concern for my safety and had me back on the road in just five minutes. I am grateful for their willingness to help, and I would recommend supporting a business that treats its customers with respect.
The issue was never the money. It was the lack of professionalism, courtesy, and concern for my safety.
