I'm not a freak athlete, just someone who works 12-16 hours a day in his metal shop, but doing the float therapy was one of the best experiences I've done for myself. I noticed a lot of folks are doing marathons and powerlifting stuff, so I wanted to make a little disclaimer.
It was an odd experience, I felt like an egg being incubated, but the staff at the Mission location very chill & talked me through what I'll be feeling.
After about 10 minutes my body kinda slumped into it's most comfortable state I've ever felt. I felt like my nervous system reset back to normal, lol.
After a week I'm pretty much committed to making float therapy a routine, it was a satisfying "massage" of sorts where I was able to stop feeling stiff & felt comfortable in my own skin, so to speak.
The facility is super clean & routinely is deep cleaned pre and post sessions. There is nothing but positives here.

Love it here. The rooms are always so clean and the staff is great. My only wish is 1) The stand-alone sauna had shower access and 2) More traditional Finnish saunas.

A good friend introduced me to Reboot. I love the float sessions so much that I bought a membership so that I can treat myself once a month. The experience is one of the best meditation experiences I've ever had. The staff a friendly and helpful. Also, try a sauna and then a float for a complete experience.

Great float place in the heart of San Fransisco! Reboot Spa is very clean, the float water temp was perfect along with the water level. It is also reasonably priced and has other health modalities people are searching for. I have only tried the floating so far and will become a return customer. I am an ardent floater and have tried them all over the US and this is a great one!

I think it’s worth trying out a float. If you are looking for peace, this is how you can force it upon yourself. Here are a couple of takeaways: it gets boring, you need to commit, and don’t let your mind get away from you. Try counting. I’m 6'1", and I could totally relax everything without touching the sides. If the thing were a few inches deeper, I think I’d personally prefer that. If I moved, my rear would hit the bottom and kind of take me out of the float mindset. I did no lights. I wanted to see and hear nothing. You do hear yourself, though. Just you and your thoughts 😬. I did the cryo chamber first. If you are from the North East like me just go for the Pro. You can handle it trust me.
