Customers frequently cite prompt emergency response, clear communication, and professional conduct during water damage, mold remediation, and floor refinishing services. Most reviewers highlight the company's punctuality and thorough cleanup, while the owner actively responds to all feedback. However, a minority of low-star reviews note that unexpected price increases were not clearly justified and that scheduling updates were sometimes lacking.

Restoration 1 was the best company for us to have mold remediation done. The owner was great, professional, and kind. Communication was great during the estimate, scheduling, and during remediation. The two men on their crew were amazing to work with! They communicated really well, answered all of my questions, and explained things throughly. They respected our home and did an amazing job with getting rid of mold. I couldn’t recommend this company enough for mold remediation services. Thank you, R1 team!

Very professional from the very first day. Each of them showed genuine concern about the damage I encountered. They explained everything that had to be done, and kept me up to date on their progress. Remediation is now complete as of today. Contractor was here yesterday to examine all of the repairs. Waiting to hear when the repair will be started.

They did an amazing job with refinishing our hardwood floors. Polite, good communication, quality work and cleaned up all debris. Highly recommend.

Hi Robin,
We appreciate the kind review, but we believe it may have been intended for a different business, as we do not refinish hardwood floors. Our company specializes in mold, fire, and water damage mitigation and restoration services. Please keep us in mind and give us a call if you ever need assistance in the future!

The work that was done seems to be good. Made quite a mess when going to and from the work area. Communication was bad. Never knew when people were coming or when they left except by looking at cameras. Needed to understand when alarm could be turned off or on and when temp needed to be adjusted.

Hi Steven,
Thank you for your feedback—we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We’re glad to hear that you were satisfied with the quality of the work completed.
Regarding your concern about pricing, this project was fully approved and covered by your insurance carrier, and the scope and cost were in line with industry standards. That said, we understand that the overall experience is what matters most.
We sincerely apologize for the lack of communication and any mess created during the process. Your project took place during Winter Storm “Fern,” which brought an unusually high volume of emergency work, but that’s not an excuse for falling short on communication or cleanliness. We will be addressing this with our team to ensure we do better moving forward.
If there’s anything we can do to make this right, we’d really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly. Please feel free to give us a call at your convenience.
Thank you again for your honest feedback.

R1 showed up when they said they would and every step was explained clearly before we accepted the service or signed on the dotted line.
We were informed routinely whenever they began another phase of the cleanup and when they were leaving and the time they would return the following day.
Our basement looks and smells new. We are very happy with the results.
