Matt and the Riverside team did two significant jobs for us. The first job involved a significant landscaping replacement for damage done by Hurricane Beryl in our backyard. Work included site preparation, new irrigation systems, installation of plants and trees, stone paths, and installation of a lighting system for footpaths and trees. The second significant job was installing a lighting system in the front yard, redo of decorative plants behind the pool, and a rationalization of the irrigation system in both front and back yards. Both jobs were done professionally and to our satisfaction. Most of the Riverside employees have been working with Matt a number of years and work effectively as a team. The fees charged for the two jobs were fair, and we would not hesitate to engage the services of Riverside on future landscaping projects.

We are extremely pleased with the results of Riverside Landscaping. Matt closely supervised the entire installation and was very responsive to all requests and suggestions. The installers worked very efficiently to complete a beautiful landscape at a very reasonable price.
After getting multiple quotes on having a flagstone fire pit put into our back yard we went with Matt and his team. (My best advice is to avoid Boone landscaping - he majorly over-quoted us). I reached out to Riverside Lawn and Landscaping with a vague idea about wanting to redo my lawn. They quickly responded and came out to meet with me and provided some great ideas and options. In addition to the free high touch estimate and ideation. The price estimate was great and came in significantly lower than others. The scheduling and communication were clear and timely. While weather delayed initial planned date, it was rescheduled to shortly after the communication was easy and clear. The day of the work, the crew showed up in the morning and got right work. They worked all day completely redoing my front and back yards. My family and I can’t be more pleased with the work, and value. If you are doing landscaping in The Woodlands, they know their stuff and deliver great value.

I hired Matt to fix draining issues in back patio as well as building part of a retaining wall. When I asked them to come by and check it out he said he would but never came and I haven't heard back since. This wasn't the first time he stood us up without a warning either. As far as the retaining wall, my 80 year old grandma would've built an equal quality wall as they did. I asked them to build about a quarter of the wall but after I saw them working on it decided to finish it myself. I paid about 20% of what they charged me to build the rest. Bottom line, SUPER expensive, poor quality work, poor quality customer service. Look elsewhere.

Had Matt do some landscaping and drainage at our new home. Matt agreed to refund some money because I had to finish/correct some stone work that was done incorrectly, and then he went back on his word. It seems to be Matt's standard operating procedure to collect the money and then ghost you, not return phone calls, not reply to any emails, etc. I trusted Matt. Matt is not a man of his word. Lesson learned. Don't use Matt or if you do Do Not Pay him until the job is completed and completed correctly.
