Had them do a bat exclusion for us 13 months ago. They gave us two quotes. One for the attic and up stairs and a separate one for the basement and downstairs. 13 months later, we found evidence of a bat in the basement. I called them to have them back out and they told me that I was out of my one year warranty but “they were good guys and would take care of me.” Which sounds nice but honoring a warranty after a few days after would have been the right thing to do. I ended up contacting over 10 other companies and had another bat specialist out. He could not believe that I was given separate quotes for the upstairs and downstairs. He told me that you have to seal the house from ground to sky. He ended up doing the job for me for half the price. He also went up to where the work had been done previously and said the work made no sense. There were holes that were only partially sealed and then holes right next to those with no work done. One big concern was the chimney. Rock Pest did that for us but my new bat guy said parts were missing so essentially bats could still get in. Bats also hibernate so a one year warranty is not fair. My new guy guarantees a three year warranty. Most likely the bat that I paid for them to do an exclusion on has been living in my house for the last year. This has become a headache and robbed my family’s peace of mind on top of the cost of the rabies shots my family of 5 had to get by health department recommendation. I would not recommend Rock Pest for any bat exclusions or treatments.
We had bats in our attic and want to thank Logan, Trent, and Lane for their professionalism in removing the bats. Up front, they clearly informed us of the steps they would do to rid us of the bats and each of those were followed. Great job guys. Thanks very much.
