Another 5-star review to add to the pile for Rodent Control Inc.
Mario, Oscar, Arturo, Ivan and Stacey were great.
Today they comprehensively treated our 2-floor home: traps, sanitation, and exclusions.
They are prompt, solicitous, friendly, hard-working, patient and create confidence that they have it handled. Mario and Oscar are clearly experts at rodent elimination.
Will leave a follow-up review once we see that rodent problem has ended, but thanks to this crew I am sure it will.
Thank you Mario, Oscar and Team!
Price assessment: Reasonable price
Price: $200+
Pest type: Rodents

Benjamin, thank you for the five-star review and for recognizing Mario, Oscar, Arturo, Ivan and Stacey. We’re glad our team’s traps, sanitation and exclusions on your two-floor home left you feeling confident, and we appreciate you sharing your experience. We look forward to your follow-up.
My experience with Mario was thoroughly disappointing, starting with his poor communication and lack of a proper inspection, and culminating in an unprofessional and insulting message after I declined his proposal. Out of the four companies I interviewed, two conducted genuinely thorough inspections and offered valuable professional insights. Mario, however, did a superficial walk-through that provided zero value, followed by a hollow sales follow-up.
When I informed him that we wouldn't be moving forward, he reacted very unprofessionally instead of accepting the rejection gracefully. He sent a petty message mocking me for supposedly seeking "handyman pricing" and sneering about my rodent issue. Even after I replied with a detailed explanation and told him not to contact me again, he still felt the need to respond. An exceptionally unprofessional contractor and sales experience—avoid.

Hello, we’re sorry your interaction with our team wasn’t what you expected. Clear, respectful communication matters to us, and this does not reflect the standard we want our customers to experience.
Best regards,
Rodent Control Team
Sorry, this report is from about a year ago. I meant to post it back then, but I completely forgot.
We started hearing animals running around in our attic. One day, there was an extremely loud noise coming from the water heater closet. When we checked, we found that the insulation board covering the attic access above the water heater had been broken through. The instruction manual attached to the water heater had been chewed into pieces, with shredded paper scattered all over the floor. It looked pretty alarming, so we immediately called Rodent Control Inc.
When they arrived, they told us the damage had been caused by rats. They explained that there are two types of rats—small rats and large rats. After spending quite a bit of time inspecting the attic and taking several photos, they told us there was a large amount of rat droppings and rated the infestation as a 9 out of 10 in severity. They said it needed immediate attention. Their proposed solution was to seal all possible entry points around the crawl space and roof, remove the contaminated insulation, disinfect the attic, and charge us more than $5,700. Replacing the insulation would cost even more.
The next day, we contacted another company, Ratting on Rodents, for a second opinion. They told us that the type of damage we described was much more consistent with squirrels than rats. Sure enough, they found a dying squirrel in the corner of the water heater closet and removed it.
They then inspected the roof and discovered that the metal chimney cap had fallen off. They explained that the squirrel had most likely entered through the chimney. That same day, they replaced the chimney cap, sealed the opening above the water heater closet, and repaired six damaged crawl space vents around the exterior of the house. They also noted that the droppings in the attic did not appear to be fresh, but set traps in both the attic and the crawl space as a precaution. They returned one to two weeks later to inspect the traps and also provided a one-year warranty, promising to come back if any rodent issues reappeared. The total cost for everything was only $1,150. I have never heard anything since then. The problem is gone!
Based on my experience, Rodent Control Inc. seems to excel at sales and customer service, but they were unable to accurately identify the root cause or recommend the appropriate solution. I would strongly encourage homeowners to get a second opinion before committing to an expensive proposal. In our case, another company solved the actual problem for about one-fifth of the cost. Good service is important, but accurate diagnosis and effective solutions are what ultimately matter.

Hi T.C., we’d like to look into your concerns, but can’t identify the visit from your review alone. Please contact our office with the name used for the appointment so we can review the inspection and recommendations.
I had a FANTASTIC experience with Mario and his crew at Rodent Control, Inc. Mario came and did a very thorough initial inspection and then was able to deliver on a plan to get rid of rats and mice in our home. He was very prompt, communicative, and thorough. Finding him and this company was an absolute lifesaver - HIGHLY recommend!!

Mario came to our home and thoroughly inspected the attic crawl space. He took photos around the area and clearly pointed out the possible routes rodents were using to enter. He was very patient and took the time to explain rodent behavior, breeding patterns, and living habits in a way that was easy to understand. His knowledge and attention to detail made us feel much more informed and confident about the next steps. Highly recommend Mario for his professionalism and expertise.

I'm glad Mario's expertise left you feeling more informed and confident, Jodi! It's wonderful to hear about your positive experience. If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out.
What do you do when you find you are sharing your space with rodents? If you are me, you trying to contain the freak out, while wondering how someone who keeps a clean house ends up with rats - BARF!!!
After some research I decided on Rodent Control and I am so glad I did. From my very first phone call, Stacey (I think) was the best, kind, understanding, professional, and right on top of the schedule. Shortly after I heard from Sam who came out and took his time reviewing every nook and cranny of my home all the while explaining to a very anxious me, the areas that were a problem, those that may be a problem and what they were going to do to fix the problems.
Sam gave me such great confidence that I signed up right then and there, and in the following days a team showed up, who work in my house, outside my house, on top of my house, under my house, cleaning and closing up any place a rat would try to infiltrate. I thought it would be a "guy or two" for an "hour or so" - like I said it was a team and they were at the house at least four hours, if not more. I have a 1,500 s.f. house for reference.
A little over a year goes by, I think I have an issue, I call, thinking "uh oh, I am probably outside the warranty", I was, by a couple of weeks. Spoke to Sam who said Stacey and the owner had my back and they would get someone out to check the house ASAP, which is what happened. Have to love a company that does what they say they will do. Oscar showed up, inspected the entire house, couldn't find anything, and no charge.
There are probably cheaper options for rodent control, and I would say "don't do it", you want Rodent Control as you not only get a great professional staff, they do great work, and stand behind what they do.
Clearly I cannot say enough!

Hi Alice,
I'm thrilled to hear about your positive experience with our team! It's great to know that Stacey and Sam were able to provide you with such thorough and professional service. We're always here for you if you need any help in the future.
Take care,
Prompt, friendly and informative staff. They're all hard workers and help put your mind at ease.
Edit: two visits since this post and I'm still having mice issues. I thought they were taking the time to fulfill their obligations and dedicate service to help customers but now I'm not so sure. They came out to do the service in April and I'm still dealing with the same issue.
I expect some redemption in the very near future based on the thousands of dollars I have paid.

Hi Chris, we’re sorry to hear about the continued mouse activity and understand your frustration after multiple visits. Please contact our office so we can review your service history, confirm the current situation, and discuss the next steps.
Seemed to be a very professional, comprehensive job. Sam was great to work with, and Mario and Michelle were true professionals. Naturally, the next time I eat cheese, if I notice I have a dining companion I reserve the right to change my review. 😀

Thanks, Jaffee! We appreciate the feedback on our team's professionalism. Sam, Mario, and Michelle will be glad to hear they hit the mark for you. We are confident you’ll be dining alone from here on out, but we’ll be here if you ever need us again.
Sam, did a really thorough inspection, of my home & pointed out how, where, what I needed to keep mice out of my home. I needed many adjustments. And many well thought out repairs. They had a lot of great ideas, on what could be done to help my situation. I learned a lot from Rodent Control, Inc. today ! The 4 techs were very nice, & verbal about what & why, they were doing specific tasks. I couldn’t be happier about this team of techs !
