Used Ron the sewer rat for a plumbing issue. Elmir was great. He was prompt and listened to what I thought the problem was and then quickly took a look and agreed. Proving was transparent and it ended up being less than initially quoted in the end, largely since he opted to not cut into the drywall which was very appreciated even when I had given him approval to do it if needed. The new frost free spigot looks great and functions well and most importantly, doesn’t leak when I use the shutoff valve.

David, thank you for the fantastic review! We're glad Elmir listened to your concerns, found the problem, and got that new frost-free spigot installed without having to cut into your drywall. Saving you some money along the way is always a nice bonus! We believe in honest recommendations and doing only the work that's necessary, even when more extensive work has been approved. We'll be sure to share your kind words with Elmir. Thank you for trusting Ron the Sewer Rat with your plumbing needs!

Was given a 5 hour window of when the plumber might arrive just for the plumber to arrive late. Support staff were very rude and condescending when I asked for updates and just kept repeating themselves over and over. Job wasn't even done properly so we had to get them to come out twice.

Mike, we're sorry to hear about your experience. Long arrival windows, poor communication, and having to return to complete a job are certainly not the level of service we expect from our team. We also expect our office staff to treat every customer with courtesy and respect, especially when they're looking for updates. We've tried to locate your service history but haven't been able to match your name to an appointment in our system. We'd appreciate the opportunity to look into what happened and address your concerns. Would you please call our office at (612) 254-1224 and ask to speak with Kelly, our Plumbing Lead? We'd like to better understand the situation and see what we can do to make things right. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Ron The Sewer Rat- specifically Jeydin- completed a big, messy clean out of our main drain line. WOW! Thank you so much for your perseverance and complete attention to the issues and details of this project. Equipment used was top notch, including a camera inspection of the line to determine complex issues. You also provided resources for follow up due to a rocky, partial blockage...Jeydin is amazing!

Response from the owner · 6 days ago

Christine, WOW right back at you! Thank you for such a fantastic review! Some mainline cleanings are tougher than others, and we're glad Jeydin's determination, attention to detail, and expertise made such a difference. We believe in cleaning drains thoroughly, using our cameras to verify the results, and making sure homeowners understand any remaining issues and their options moving forward. We'll be sure to share your kind words with Jeydin. He's going to love this one! Thank you for trusting Ron the Sewer Rat with such a challenging job!

Told them it was a long drain so they needed an extra long camera. Didn’t bring it, didn’t scope the full sewer, told me there was root intrusion and quoted me for concrete demo/replacement, and charged me for the half scope over the phone before they left the property. Sent me the scope video of a different address via email after the fact. Brought someone else in, they scoped the whole thing, and said the root intrusion was a non-issue.

Shane, thank you for sharing your experience. We understand your frustration, and we owe you an apology for several things that went wrong during your inspection. Our scheduling team correctly communicated that your sewer line required an extended-length camera. Unfortunately, while our technician brought equipment intended to reach 300 feet, we discovered it only had 258 feet of cable. We also mistakenly emailed you another property's inspection video. Both were our mistakes, and we take full responsibility. You deserved better. Regarding the root intrusion, we do stand by our technician's findings. Roots entering the joints of a PVC sewer line are not normal and can indicate improperly sealed joints, potentially leading to future problems. We understand another company reached a different conclusion, but we believe it was important to bring those findings to your attention. We appreciate you bringing these issues to light. Your feedback helps us identify where our equipment checks and internal processes need improvement. We're sorry we fell short of the service you should expect from Ron the Sewer Rat.
