I've been coming to Salon EFX for 15 years and have recommended Zena many times. She's a great all-around stylist for scissor or razor cuts, long hair or short, highlights, color or whatever else you need. She's careful to consider each customer's unique style and needs, and always makes good recommendations. I'd give her more stars if I could!
I really wanted to love this place! I booked a hair cut appointment online based on reviews with one staff member but was asked to come in early. When I did come in early, I was given a different staff member who was very nice but had limited skills in cutting hair or styling. She gave a me mullet that I had to get fixed at a different salon. So disappointed!

My son who has long hair wanted a layered cut. We called Salon EFX to see if there happened to be any openings same day. The gentleman who answered the phone was so helpful and polite. He set us up with Val who was also amazing! She gave him exactly what he wanted! Great customer service and great haircut. We can’t wait to come back again!

Had to go to a different salon to get my hair fixed because one of the hair salonists in Salon EFX went straight to coloring my hair instead of figuring out its condition and history. My hair ended up being completely fried and damaged. Surprisingly, she said that it was going to turn to a tint green and to come back…also she was going to fully charge me to fix the damage she caused and also she was going to leave a note on what should be done next. When I called back later, she apparently did not work there anymore and also there wasn’t any mention of me in any notes whatsoever; instead the front desk told me to come in for a new consultation after I had to explain everything. Went to Salon 444 instead and they were in complete shock of the condition of my hair. Thankfully they completely fixed it up and it looks better than it did before and feels healthy too! Also they noticed a lot of hair loss so they cut my hair around it and gave me a treatment plan to regrow my hair. She took pictures of before and after and couldn’t believe the difference. I may request the before pick to post up here once I get it.

Hi Maideline, I’m sorry to hear about the condition of your hair and the frustration you experienced with the follow-up. I understand that having to explain everything again after your stylist left added to that frustration.
When you contacted us, we offered a consultation with another stylist so we could assess your hair’s condition in person, understand your concerns, and determine the appropriate next steps. That assessment was important before recommending any further services.
Even when a stylist leaves, we still have a responsibility to take our clients’ concerns seriously. I’ve reached out personally and would welcome the opportunity to listen, review your experience, and discuss how we can address your concerns.
