Had San Diego County Solar install a Tesla Powerwall 3 and a Wall Connector on an existing 2019 solar system. It's a big job with a lot of moving parts, and it went more smoothly than much smaller projects I've had done. Seth knows this stuff very well and gives straight answers. I asked a lot of detailed questions about NEM 2.0, rate plans, and how the battery would actually behave, and I never got a sales pitch or a vague answer. When something wasn't knowable, he said so. That's rarer than it should be in this industry. The crew did clean work and were very nice and easy to deal with. The conduit was painted to match the stucco, and they went ahead and painted an older cable run that wasn't part of their job. When I hit a Tesla app issue that had nothing to do with their installation, Tim, the installation manager, spent an hour on the phone with Tesla support on my behalf. He didn't have to do that. Passed inspection first time, PTO came through shortly after, and they handled the SDCP rebate paperwork, with the check arriving faster than estimated. If you're adding storage to an existing NEM 2.0 system, these are good people to work with.

I am absolutely overjoyed that I finally found a professional, trustworthy, and knowledgeable solar company. I was particularly pleased with the fast service during this very hot summer. Other companies were estimating a 5 - 7 week wait time for an appointment. Tim and Mason got me scheduled the same week! Our solar system is now up and running again. I couldn't be happier. Needless to say, their contact info will be remaining in my phone permanently. :)

I highly recommend San Diego County solar. I was having problems with my Solar edge solar inverter so I looked online and I found San Diego County solar. Contacted them on the weekend and they got back to me first thing Monday. Explain the situation to them and gave them all the information I could and they were able to diagnose it over the phone. They help me contact the manufacturer and get a replacement inverter. The manufacturer sent out a new inverter and I received it within a week. Once that arrived I contacted Tim the service manager and he scheduled me in time to have the old one removed and have the new one installed. They gave me a fair pricing to replace my inverter and really helped me with getting my new inverter delivered. They made the process very easy. If you have any issues with your solar panels or your solar inverter I suggest contacting them first. Thanks again Tim for all your help.

Working with San Diego County Solar was an awesome experience. I got quotes from four different companies, and between all of they SDCS was the easiest to deal with, the most fair on price, and also offered the highest quality panels across any of the quotes. They're extremely involved and ran the process entirely from start to finish without me needing to do very much at all. They also did a great job on install educating me on how the system works, how I should use it, and what to expect. Solar always had a bad taste in my mouth because of the door-to-door salesmen that rang my doorbell constantly, but San Diego County Solar was the complete opposite. I wouldn't hesitate to refer them to anyone looking to go solar.

I checked with 5 companies SD solar and Wende in particular got by far the best quote and were clearly both passionate and knowledgeable about Solar and all the financing options. Fair, very communicative, great follow up and support at every step even after the job was completed.

Our first experience with SDCS was back in 2012 when we first installed solar panels on our house. That was a flawless experience and we have benefitted from 14 years of solar savings on our SDG&E bills. We decided to add a battery storage system to our house and our first choice was SDCS. As always the crew was knowledgeable and courteous and the price was fair. What truly sets SDCS in a rarefied class of its own is how they professionally dealt with the curveballs integrating a new battery with our older panels and several new ones into a seamless system to maximize our energy production, distribution and, ultimately, SAVINGS!

I found this company on the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating. The Solar company that installed my system is now out of business, so I was trying to find somebody close that does good work as my inverter was getting an arc fault error. This is a small business and we had some initial challenges with communicating. However, once I brought this to the companies’s attention the problems were solved immediately with multiple options. Because this inverter were no longer for sale San Diego County Solar was able to find one and get it installed immediately for me. Since then I have had no errors on my inverter and I’m very pleased with the work they did.

We recently installed a home solar and battery system through San Diego County Solar (SDCS), and it was a great experience from start to finish. We were very happy with our choice of San Diego County Solar. They upgraded our main electrical panel (and handled all the communications and interactions with SDG&E so we didn't have to,) installed solar panels on our roof, installed a Tesla Backup Switch, and installed a new Tesla Powerwall battery. They managed the whole project, kept us informed, scheduled all necessary inspections, and obtained Permission to Operate from SDG&E. They also did a great job of working with the roofing company we selected to install a new roof. They communicated directly with the roofer (so we didn't have to serve as a middleman in the communications,) and coordinated schedules with them to ensure the mounts for the solar panels were installed at the correct point in the roofing process. Some other aspects of the business relationship we liked: San Diego County Solar did not request final payment (50% of the total) until we had Permission To Operate from SDG&E and were satisfied that the project was thoroughly completed. They were very responsive to emails and phone calls from us during the entire project. They also sat down with us at the end of the project to walk us through all the new hardware and software we received, and gave us a nice binder full of all the warranties, manuals, and reference materials we need to manage our installation going forward. We will definitely recommend San Diego County Solar to our friends and neighbors.
