Excellent Community Vet clinic... All the personnel are very nice and helpful. Got all the vaccines We needed and prescription for all my pets. Reasonable prices.
- Services: Large animals

Reviewers describe the clinic as an affordable community resource for routine services like vaccines, with staff frequently noted for being friendly, professional, and efficient. Appointments are generally quick, though parking is often cited as difficult due to local construction. However, some customers report unexpected exam fees added to vaccine costs, difficulty obtaining medical records, and isolated instances of staff handling pets in a manner perceived as unhelpful or careless.

The San Francisco SPCA Community Veterinary Clinic is a great neighborhood resource. The staff here are genuinely wonderful, kind, and helpful. This is a clinic rather than a full veterinary hospital, so it is best for simpler care like flea medication, routine services, and other basic needs. For more extensive exams, diagnostics, or laboratory work, you may need to go to a hospital instead. Still, this is an amazing resource for the neighborhood, and I have had a very positive experience with the staff here. They can help you where they can, and direct you elswhere where they can't.
Amarah, thank you. Laying out what the clinic handles and what needs a hospital is useful for anyone trying to figure out where to go. Glad the team has taken good care of you.
Buen servicio
Very professional very quick very friendly and affordable that's the best
The vet techs were not very helpful and prolonged the shot because she was "too scared"... You're supposed to be trained. She put pressure on my cat and then asked for a muzzle and towel, my cat was just getting angrier and angrier. I told her to just do the shot. Finally she did. I was worried she didn't do it right, because she seemed to not care at all about placement and just wanted to get out of doing her 1 job for the day. She was not great with my cat at all and didn't even offer to help me towards the end and removed the towel. I had to ask a second assistant since the first one just straight up left without a word. In general The vet spent a few minutes, and was friendly, not one additional follow-up though, and she didn't offer Fel Vac even though I literally put on the chart Indoor + Outdoor cat .... Now I have to go back for a second vaccine when I could've gotten it all done in one visit.. I don't understand all the 5 stars. I also got a paper with someone else's pet who had the same name as mine. Um, privacy concerns? Horrible experience. I don't look forward to working with this clinic since it's most likely another revolving door of new assistants who never know what's going on.
Great people. Quality care. Super nice. I am SO happy to have the clinic in my neighborhood. It's a real service to the community.
The ASPCA is awesome 😎💯 these are some of the Best people, they are so good with my beautiful 😺 cat, the veterinarian was fabulous Dr.Leong your a star... My cat recovered from her surgery and is so healthy these people get A++++...
It's very small. Scheduling an appts ahead of time is best. Idk what kinda wait you'd be looking at or if they accept walk-in appts. The staff was nice, I didn't wait long to be seen for my appt. There is lots of construction happening on the street right in front of the building so traffic is slow & parking is scarce... Plan ahead or use public transit.
I brought my cat here after being overdue for a vet visit due to a negative experience at Banfield, and I’m so glad I chose the SPCA clinic. The doctor was incredibly kind and gentle with my cat, which immediately put me at ease. The staff lets you be present during the appointment (which is something I never could do at banfield) , they explained everything clearly, and were very transparent about pricing, which was also very affordable. When we got home, he was immediately comfortable and didn’t hide all day like he usually did after his past visits at banfield. That alone says everything. Highly recommend.
I came in to expect to have $25 vaccine shots for the kitties. It turned out that the doctor took a look at the kitties and I got charged $50 for the exam for each kitty on top of the vaccine shots. I was disappointedly surprised with the exam charge. Just BEWARE!
