I’ve owned 5 homes and Ethan is the best inspector I’ve ever used. You can get a sense when you hire someone that’s going through the motions vs. someone who takes pride in what they do. Ethan has a combination of great communication skills, high attention to detail and a relaxed but very professional demeanor that makes you feel comfortable while educated throughout the whole process.

We had an inspection done by Chad which seemed to be good at the time. But after buying our house, we found that many significant problems were either not identified or severely misdiagnosed. I fully understand that it is a general house inspection and that no inspector will be 100% correct about everything, but the quantity and severity of inspection errors was unreasonable. A few examples below:
1) He inspected the main rubber roof and said that it was in good condition and would last many more years. However we had a few different roofers evaluate it later who all found that it was actually a rolled asphalt roof that is on the verge of failing and needs to be completely replaced ASAP. So besides being objectively wrong about the roof material, his evaluation of the condition was way off.
2) He inspected the gas boiler and said it was in good functional condition. Upon moving in we discovered a leak from the gas valve which could’ve been a huge safety problem had we not found it and gotten it fixed quickly.
3) We found that multiple outlets were not working properly and needed to be re-wired. All of the outlets were supposedly checked during the inspection. Additionally our electrician made us aware of multiple potential safety concerns related to the age and condition of the wiring/electrical systems that was not mentioned during the inspection.
These are just a few examples, I could keep going on. Overall the inspection results did not accurately represent the actual condition of the house at all. We left the inspection unaware of the thousands and thousands of dollars we’d end up spending on repairs. Had we known about these issues, it could’ve helped with our decision making process and/or negotiations during closing.

Absolutely the best experience you could ask for in any home inspection. Chad is extremely informed and will walk you through every step of the way. Regardless of your knowledge level, you will learn something new and something important about your home. If you forget something he’s told you, you don’t need to worry as all the information gathered is in an accessible, detailed, and color-coded report. He also is quick to respond and easy to reach with any questions after the session. You will not find a better guy for the job.

When I tell you you'll receive top notch service, and you won't regret your decision - you need to understand why with a little color. We were gratefully connected through our realtor at Twin Tides, Kelsey Martin. Chad and his team are an unmatched industry expert, masterfully skilled with precise attention to detail and care in not only their inspection, but their after care. Their inspection was undoubtedly through, and thoughtful, nonjudgmental explanation helped support us and our family in feeling solidified in our buying decision. Post, we discovered an issue with our basement bathroom – but we were not left in the dark to worry. We took Chad up on his reassurance to call if we needed him, he returned our call same-day and secured us plumbing services as a courtesy. Name another inspector who's out there creating genuine connections, and taking a humanistic approach to service – I dare you.
