They take advantage of people !!
I paid Mr. Prince A Scott the amount of $200 for the preparation of an application for an ITIN with the IRS. I also provided Mr. Prince A Scott with my Jamaican Passport as Mr. Prince A Scott said that my official legal document would need to be mailed in with the application.
Having received my passport and my payment Mr. Prince A Scott, his secretary and all contacts associated with the business has stopped taking all my calls, refused to see me when I visited the office, refused to provide me with any information regarding the where abouts of my passport and the tracking information for the medium used to mail the documents in.
IRS on the other hand confirmed that they did not receive that application nor the passport from the Scott Accounting and Tax Firm LLC.
I am now receiving mail of taxes owed when I have never filed nor do I know how to file a tax return. And when I try to pay said bills to clear the issue IRS had to refund the money because they're saying something is wrong on the account that only the filing agent can fix, and the Scott Accounting and Tax Firm LLC refuse to communicate. So now after explaining the complete situation to the IRS, they're advising me how to proceed with reporting this company for FRAUD and possible Identity Theft.
RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN FROM THESE PEOPLE.

Horrible service and CPA. Used his services last year and my whole tax return got screwed up. He put the wrong SSN on my tax return without even informing me. The IRS kept rejecting my return, until I figured out that it was due to the wrong SSN. In addition, I had to educated this CPA on military tax laws, and he refused with passion to believe me until he called the State of CT. Very degrading manners and didn't even apologize about his mistake. Also, once filed and paid, you just can't get a hold of them. Their service is ridiculous and it seems that all these reviews are fake or bought. Do not recommend!!

Filled 2019 and they sent out paperwork not signed on the Appropriate places keept calling and emailing them until this day October 2021 I have not heard back from them ..and Now I have to go figure out somewhat else how the heck to fix this huge screw up! So Irresponsible..

My experience was nothing short of nightmarish. I picked up my completed tax return on 3/26/21, at which time I also paid for services. However, my tax return was just submitted on 5/10/21. After numerous attempts to contact this firm to inquire about the oversight, I'm still left baffled and without explanation as to why it took 6.5 weeks to submit my tax return. I knew that something was wrong and I contacted the IRS and CT Department of Revenue Services multiple times. Every time, I was told that nothing was submitted on my behalf for tax year 2020. However, Scott Accounting and Tax Firm LLC told me on three separate occasions that my return had been submitted. It wasn't until 5/10/21 that they were actually submitted them. I'm emailing with the owner as I'm typing this review and he refuses to acknowledge the oversight. I've flat out asked him why my return was not submitted on the date that I rendered payment (3/26/21) and he refuses to answer my question. Needless to say, I will never do business with this firm again. I understand that mistakes happen but how you rectify a mistake is what leaves a lasting impression. I thank God that I had the right mind to check my return status with both departments otherwise I would've missed this year's tax deadline of Monday, May 17th and this firm would care less. I would be responsible for interest and penalties all because of their mistake. Be very careful who you chose to prepare your taxes. The sad thing is that I did research on this firm, and all of the reviews were great. The receptionist is very polite but appears to be very unorganized which probably has a lot of do with the oversight, but it's really disappointing that I'm now in direct contact with Prince Scott and he is not willing to accept any responsibility for what went wrong. Until yesterday, I was speaking directly with his receptionist. He only got involved when he emailed the IRS acceptance letter, which has no submission date on it. I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for the owner to actually respond. All of his emails are rude and accusatory. He's talking to me like I'm at fault. With what I experienced using this firm, you would think that I actually prepared my own taxes with Turbo Tax. There is ZERO accountability. I'm very disappointed because I was definitely trying to support a black owned business but they didn't return the support to their client. I will never use this firm again. The last email that I sent to him at 11:54AM flat out asked him "Why were our tax returns not submitted on 3/26/2021 when we paid for them in your office", to which he has not responded. Up until I asked this question again and in all caps, he was responding via email. Now that I'm flat out asking him to explain what happened, he has stopped responding. I did request a refund (paid $325) (I didn't think that I would get a full refund) of some sort but was denied. He wasn't even willing to consider a partial refund because he provided a service. But why was there a 6.5 week lapse in submission...so a tax firm put me in a position to almost miss the 2020 tax deadline of 5/17/21 even though we were provided an additional one month extension because taxes are always due on 4/15. Mind you, they did not provide a free service. I paid them, so am I being unreasonable to expect that my returns should've been electronically submitted on 3/26/21 when I paid for my services? Is asking for a refund (partial or full) unreasonable...be very careful. What a nightmare this has been.
