Shades Mountain Mercantile
Shades Mountain Mercantile at a glance
Reviewers describe Shades Mountain Mercantile as a diverse antique mall with numerous vendor booths offering unique items, including furniture, art, and collectibles, at generally reasonable prices. Staff are frequently noted for being friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, contributing to a positive shopping experience. However, a recurring criticism involves pricing inconsistencies, specifically complaints that the store refuses to honor lower prices listed by booth owners on online marketplaces, leading some customers to feel the business practices were dishonest.

We absolutely love this store! It’s such a treat anytime we visit. The furniture, all the collectibles, the local art, everything is so unique and reasonably priced. My kids love going too! Be prepared for staying awhile, as there is much to see. There is definitely something for everyone. The employees are always very friendly and helpful, they make sure you receive the discount when you might not have even known the price was lower, they give you space but also make sure you are finding what you need. The local art alone is worth the trip. If you’re passing through Birmingham, I would highly recommend making time to visit Shades Mountain Mercantile! Thank you for making every visit a special occasion!
