Alby went above and beyond for our wedding! She is so sweet and personable! She made the ceremony special and fun just how we wanted it. I couldn’t recommend her enough!!
Gary was lovely. You made sure that all the things we needed to be aware of and took care of anything you want changed within our ceremony. I’m so glad that he got to be a part of our special day
Alby was the most incredible officiant! She helped make our day feel so special and natural. She did the full ceremony in half English and Spanish which was something I was nervous about but she did it so seamlessly !!!! We had SEVERAL people ask how we knew her & who’s side of the family she was from because of how genuine and intentional her words were. She is so incredibly sweet and we couldn’t recommend her more!!!
Alby Ventura officiated our wedding in Spanish, and she was absolutely amazing. She made our ceremony feel so special, not only for my husband and me but for all of our guests as well. Everyone loved the way she beautifully told our love story, making the ceremony feel heartfelt and memorable. We are so grateful to have had her as our officiant and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a warm, professional, and bilingual officiant.
Alby was truly one of the highlights of our wedding at the Texas Science and Natural History Museum. From the start, it was clear she genuinely cared about telling our story in a way that felt authentic and completely us. During the ceremony, she captured us so beautifully. Every word felt thoughtful and personal, like she had known us for years. She balanced heartfelt moments with just the right touch of humor, and our guests kept telling us how much they loved it. It felt intimate, engaging, and unforgettable. What really stood out was how Alby set the tone for the whole day. She created such a warm, joyful atmosphere that made everyone feel connected and present. The vibes were immaculate, and she helped us feel calm and grounded so we could truly enjoy every moment. We are so grateful she was part of our day and could not imagine it without her.
We're so glad we picked Shelly to officiate our wedding. She met with us several times, in person and over the phone, to get to know us and develop a speech that was personal, funny, serious, and meaningful to us. The name of the company is Short and Sweet, but I actually thought it was the perfect length. Our speech (which she sent to us to review) was 2500 words including speaker notes, and covered a lot of ground, from honoring our guests, to discussing our relationship and our values, to giving marriage advice, and saying our vows. Shelly made sure to hit on all of the elements we consider important, and delivered her speech with poise and sincerity that I thought added a lot of gravity to the moment. That being said, Shelly has a bright, energetic attitude that immediately comes through when she speaks, and I think that balanced out the serious nature of the words, underscoring the joy of getting married. One thing I really appreciate about Shelly is that she comes off as such a real person. This isn't AI writing your wedding ceremony speech; it's a real person who you've had real conversations with. Shelly helped us a lot to define what our ceremony would look like. It was really useful to have someone with so much experience who could suggest things and help us make decisions. For example, she had recommended we come up with a unity ceremony, but after a bunch of googling we hadn't found one that seemed to fit us. She suggested the perfect idea: an anniversary box where we write letters to each other and guests write letters to us, and we seal it all up to read on our first anniversary. To that box, she added a copy of our script, and our private vows we had read earlier in the day. I want to highlight one experience that shows how serious Shelly takes her job. We met with Shelly in person, and she told us she'd get us a draft of our speech within a few days. Well, a week went by and we didn't hear anything; we thought nothing of it as we had plenty of time before the wedding. A few days later, we got an email from her saying she had a near-death experience due to an infection that put her in the hospital with a fever of 106 if I remember correctly. She said "I must apologize for the delay in getting this script to you! I promised you this script way before now, so I feel bad about that!". She had attached the finished script.
Alby Ventura was our wedding officiant and we couldn’t have asked for a better person to lead our ceremony! Not only does she offer bilingual officiating (English and Spanish), but her personality is so bright and her positivity is infectious - we knew that we were in great hands after our very first phone call with her. We received numerous compliments from our guests on her officiating, and we truly felt like a good friend was marrying us. Alby was so encouraging, did regular check-ins with us leading up to our wedding day, and helped us craft a customized bilingual ceremony script. True to form, our ceremony was short and sweet, and perfectly us. To know Alby is to love her. Thank you, Alby! <3
Terry with Short and Sweet did a superb job of officiating our wedding. This was the part we were both most nervous about. He walked us through the whole process, and was able to customize the service exactly to our comfort level. His warm demeanor made him feel like family, and everything went amazing!
Terry Everett officiated our wedding in April of 2026 at the Addison Grove. Terry was very professional and created a beautiful ceremony script for us. He was always very communicative and solved any issues that came up. The whole process was very easy. We would recommend him and Short and Sweet to anyone looking for an officiant for their wedding.
