Customers frequently cite responsive communication, professional craftsmanship, and efficient project management for services including ADU construction, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, and roof repairs. The contractor handles complex renovations with clear design planning and permits, often completing work quickly without unexpected costs. One negative review notes that a paid inspection fee resulted only in a text message price estimate rather than a detailed report, highlighting a potential discrepancy in service delivery for initial consultations.

I reached out to this company to remodel my bathroom and everything was super easy and quick. The crew knew exactly what they were doing. The quality is outstanding and the communication that I had with the person who was responsible for my project was outstanding. We hired Shulmen Construction to build a 600 square foot ADU in our backyard in Hancock Park, and we are so happy with how everything turned out.
This was a very special project for our family. My son had always dreamed of having his own place in our backyard, where he could have his independence but still be close to us. He had been studying at a university in New York, and we wanted to surprise him with something he had wished for for years.
Since our home is in an HPOZ, we had to make sure the ADU matched the original style of the house. They did a beautiful job with that, and they also completely transformed our backyard.
One of the challenges we had was finding where our sewer line connected to the city's main sewer. It wasn't easy to locate, but their team used special cameras inside the pipes and eventually found it.
What I really appreciated was how easy they were to work with. Communication was great throughout the entire project. They always kept us updated, answered our questions, and were quick to take care of anything that came up. Every worker we met was friendly, respectful, and pleasant to have around. They also kept everything clean and organized, which made a big difference since we were living in the house during construction.
The quality of their work is excellent, and you can really see the attention to detail. We passed all the inspections, and whenever something needed to be addressed, they took care of it right away. They stayed on schedule and completed the entire project in just five months, which was amazing considering everything involved.
But my favorite part was seeing my son's reaction when he finally saw his new home. He was so excited and happy. Knowing that we were able to make his dream come true is something I'll never forget.
We're really grateful to the entire Shulmen Construction team for making this such a wonderful experience. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone planning an ADU or home renovation.

Really glad the price felt fair and the communication stayed strong from start to finish on your bathroom project, Pico. We're glad the craftsmanship stood out too, and it sounds like our crew left a good impression as people, not just as builders. Century City's got one really nice bathroom now.

Isaac, hearing you'd recommend us 100 percent after a full kitchen remodel is exactly why we love this work. Glad it turned out beautiful, now go enjoy cooking in it, even if day one is just reheating leftovers in a much nicer kitchen. We appreciate you spreading the word.
