Signature Catering by Ovy

We hired Ovy for our 177 person wedding on September 11,2026 at Canvas Venue in Wheeling IL and they were absolute perfection from start to finish! Working with Ovy,Ati and Nereida during the planning process, our tasting and the actual party was smooth and completely stress-free. One of the most important factors for the wedding for Christian and myself was the food. Nobody ever forgets the food at the wedding ! We had 3 meal options - Short ribs with green chive puree potatoes - Mexican chicken thighs - Mushroom Parmesan risotto as a vegetarian option. We also had 4 passed appetizers during cocktail hour of our choice. On the wedding day, the food was completely unbelievable—our guests are still talking about the short ribs and how delicious everything tasted and looked on the plate. The kids even cleared their plates (we did not do kids meals) I had to share Ovy catering information with multiple people who have asked where the food is from. It was one of the main highlights of the night. The food was fresh, hot, presentation and taste was as initially during tasting. We love consistency. The on-site team, especially Nereida was quick to communicate with me. And communication between venue and catering team was also very smooth and I was not bothered with any problems. If there were any? I wouldn’t know This allowed me to fully enjoy my day of marriage with my husband. The team went above and beyond to keep our timeline on track as we were slightly late to the venue and even made sure my new spouse and I had a private plate of appetizers waiting for us. As well as all the meals we selected so we can enjoy all of them day of and days after If you want amazing food and dependable hospitality, book them immediately. We will be using Ovy again for all our future parties. Thank you Ovy,Ati, Nereida and the whole catering team 10/10 experience.

Ati and Ovy and the whole team were fantastic! The months leading up to our wedding day, we were so excited for the food after our tasting. Ati was so attentive and detailed and it was so easy to work with him. Ati listened to our food preferences so well and made such a beautiful menu for our guests. Unluckily for us, we discovered a pest infestation at our original venue where Ati and Ovy’s team was supposed to cater. As we were frantically trying to find a new space to host our wedding, I called Ati to explain the situation at 7am the morning of our wedding. Ati reassured me and told me, “we will follow you anywhere” and they did. The whole team was so flexible, understanding, and supporting. We are truly so grateful that everything worked out! On the day of the wedding, Ovy and his staff were so helpful and friendly. Since we had a last minute change to our venue, our original floor plan and seating chart could no longer be used but the catering team seamlessly transitioned the space from the ceremony to reception. The whole team looked so organized and composed that it made us forget the stress of having to change all the details we had planned months before. Everyone was so professional and so courteous not only to my husband and I but to our families and guests. The team went above and beyond by personally bringing us drinks and our personal tray of hors d’oeuvres and asking our families if they needed anything. We were all incredibly stressed that morning because of the venue fiasco, but Ovy and his team made us feel supported and cared for and we were able to enjoy the day we had been looking forward to. The food was amazing!! Multiple people came up to us on the day of our wedding to tell us it was the best food they have eaten at a wedding. During cocktail hour, we served hors d’oeuvres, including a stuffed eggplant bite and short rib costrini that my husband’s cousins from out of town loved!! It was so special to see people from out of town come to celebrate us and enjoy such yummy food. My brother in law worked in the restaurant industry for a long time so his standards are pretty high but he said the short rib dish he ate was so good and one of the best meals he’s had. We also served a minty pea soup that everyone loved - we had someone come up to us while we were sitting at our sweetheart table to tell us they loved it! My husband and I love eating well and we wanted great food at our wedding for our friends and families. We are so happy that Ati, Ovy, and the whole team made that happen for us!

We were so, so thrilled with the food and the service from the team on our wedding day. We lost count of the number of people who've told us this was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. (It was also the best food we've ever had at a wedding, and we're so happy it was our own!) The appetizers and entrees were identical in quality to the versions we tried at the tastings, which is a testament to how much hard work the team devotes to the logistics of service on the day itself. And speaking of service, all of the servers were so lovely to work with. We got tons of compliments about them, too. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We would not hesitate to recommend to anyone else we know who's getting married in the area.

Ovy, Ati, and team did a fantastic job from start to finish. Ati was lovely to coordinate with and always responded very quickly.the whole process was seamless. The service at the wedding reception was elegant and truly white glove quality. The entire team was incredibly professional and definitely knew exactly what they were doing, which took so much stress off our shoulders.The food was some of the best I have ever tasted! Chef Ovy is absolutely wonderful, and many of our guests had nothing but great things to say about the meal. If you want a seamless, high end experience for your big day, I highly recommend them!

Ovy Catering was excellent end to end! Pre-wedding, we communicated directly with Ati, and he was able to talk us through the options. The tasting was great - we got to try lots of options, and it was a fun experience. The dinner was great (shoutout to the braised short rib), and the staff was very professional. They were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions for both appetizers and the main course, which I greatly appreciated! They did a great job with our signature drinks as well. Highly recommend!

Our experience with Ovy and Ati at Signature Catering was absolutely amazing!! Our wedding guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious the food was. Many said it was the best wedding food they've ever had! We received so many compliments on the dishes AND the service. Our wedding happened to be on Ovy's birthday, and he still arrived on-site to oversee the catering operations. On his birthday!! We so appreciate Signature's customer service, professionalism, and general kindness expressed many times during the months we worked with them. We also can't forget to mention Nereida -- she was the best!! She helped field our questions and clarify the little details. We did things a little out-of-the-box when it came to our DIY wedding, and Signature Catering worked alongside us to help us achieve the wedding of our dreams. Thank you all so very much!! Ovy and team catered our wedding in March and could not have asked for a better experience. From the food to the service they made everything a breeze. While you usually see a lot of half eaten plates at weddings, all our guests raved about the food and ate everything, even our pickiest eaters. We got numerous compliments about both the food and especially the staff service - very attentive and made all the members of the wedding party feel special. Couldn't recommend more!

We used Ovy/Ati and their team for catering our wedding of 90 people. We did a tasting about 1 year in advance, and we were stuffed from the tasting alone. The food was amazing and Ati and his team reviewed the science behind how they prepare their food and walked us through the process of how plates would be prepared on the day of our event. As promised the food was delicious and we were stuffed, and we decided on Ovy's team day of. Leading up to the event, Ati had great communication via email, and reached out regularly with updated contracts, confirmed our meal selections, and closer to the event laid out the details as well. Their team was present during the final walk through at our venue, and helped to ask important questions about food and decor that we wouldn't even have thought to ask. On the day of our wedding, the team was a well oiled machine. It was clear they were familiar with the venue. We did not have to lift a finger for load in or clean up. The catering lead approached us about just the right things at just the right times - including offering us our own plate of apps and making sure we always had a drink refill! Clean up was very efficient. All the details were on point. Our guests later remarked that the food was the best they've ever had at a wedding and are still talking about how delicious the salad and entrees were. We could not have asked for a more delicious meal and organized team! Thank you so much to Ovy, Ati, and the rest of the team for making our day a success.
