Tim has done amazing work with my two Shih Tzus! They definitely needed better manners and because of the training with Tim, they are on their way to being better behaved dogs.
Had an amazing experience with both Tin and Mikayla. They were very friendly and patient with us and our dog Moose! Highly recommend using them for all your dog training needs!
Tim is an excellent trainer. He showed us that even our stubborn big boy could learn to walk calmly next to us when other trainers were unable to. He is kind and firm and our dog LOVED seeing Tim each week. Looking forward to continuing the training with the group sessions.
Tim was great with our german shepherd puppy, he’s still learning a lot but has made tremendous progress with dog reactivity and his obedience. Tim has been great either allowing us to keep in contact after our move and help with any questions we’ve had along the way during training.
Would 100% recommend! Our dog Gravy was a young rescue who had trouble with anxiety and barking. He seemed to have little to no socialization with dogs when we got him, barking and lunging. And barking at any sound around him and new people. With sit means sit he learned to be confident in himself and make his own…
I found my way to Tim's location via Google Search. After the initial consultation, I am very impressed. I positive my 13 week old Labrador puppy will be well served by Tim's approach to training!
Tim is an excellent dog (and owner) trainer. Our 16 week old Weimaraner puppy Clark was quite wild and easily distracted. But he has progressed greatly with all his training, which included several one on one full day training sessions, and very brief and thorough owner training sessions upon each pick up. Tim’s…
Tim was incredible to work with, making sure I understood what to do with my dog, and helping build a strong foundation for continued training.
Thank you Tim & McKayla for helping us be a better dog owner, as well as our Duke to be a better dog. He had separation anxiety, hyperactive & very little training @ 10 months when we adopted him. We now can say after 6 weeks of your training skills for us all, Duke is 90% better. It was worth every dollar we spent…
Sit Means Sit was a wonderful experience and the results are great. Anakin listens to commands, is better on walks, and doesn’t bark when he sees other dogs. I highly recommend this training program! Thank you, Tim, and Makalay!
Tim and McKayla are amazing!!!! I went to them feeling helpless with my 7 year old dog, Maeve, who is reactive to people and other dogs. She was a covid puppy and had 2 TPLO surgeries for her hind legs. She has been through a lot and it became so overwhelming, I had no idea where to start. They broke it down and…
We cannot recommend Tim and McKayla enough! From the very beginning, they treated us like family and genuinely cared about not only Rufus, but us as owners as well. Their dedication, patience, and expertise completely transformed Rufus’s behavior. Before training, Rufus struggled with reactivity, and it often felt…
As first-time dog owners, we tried multiple ways to train our Cavapoo—YouTube videos, apps, and even a personal trainer at home. But our pup can be stubborn and strong-willed, and we were struggling with behaviors like growling and resource guarding. That’s when we came across Sit Means Sit and decided to give it a…
I have never used any type of professional services before to train my dogs, but this time, I wanted our new puppy to have the best, that’s where Sit Means Sit has been instrumental! She is a terrier/cattle mix with strong drive and energy. Tim at SMS has been great to work with, getting her through the basic steps…
Tim was fantastic from start to finish. I have a very sweet but very stubborn and energetic Husky, German Sheppard, Golden Retriever mix. I did the four week program for my girl and I can honestly say Frankie is so much better! She’s only 6 months old so I know it’ll require more work/consistency at home, but one of…
I cannot express my gratitude enough for Tim at Sit Means Sit and what he has done to help my family. Our German Shepherd, Daisy, came to Tim facing several significant challenges that affected both her quality of life and our ability to confidently take her out in public. Thanks to Tim’s knowledge, patience, and…
Our dog completed day training with Tim and it has been life changing for her and our family! She is happier and has a newfound confidence that has made walks much more enjoyable and relaxing. As soon as we met with Tim we knew he was the right choice for our dog and the training was more than worth every penny! We…
Tim and his training team were wonderful. Great training and always communicated so well. My dog enjoyed it!
We came to Sit Means Sit with our Frenchie, Thor, that was struggling with some resource guarding. Since working with Tim we have seen such an amazing difference in Thor! He is a much more relaxed and confident dog, and we are so grateful for the independence that behavioral training has given him and us!
Tim is a great trainer! We went in with our 1.5 yr old frenchie who was aggressive towards other dogs, pulled like crazy on walks and was not socialized well. We got her at 6 mos old and she got along with our boxer who is well behaved and trained. We tried everything with her, treats, repetitive training, an app…
BLUF: a MUST GO-TO We completely trusted the Sit Means Sit approach to training and Tim made us and Turtle (our puppy) feel comfortable and confident. After the introduction of the learning aid that turtle would wear, it was very clear that he thought of it as an extension of our hand. He was much more obedient on…
Tim is an amazing dog trainer. He is patient and supportive and so knowledgeable. He even made a house call when my pug was being extra stubborn. Tim truly can teach an old dog new tricks!! Olive and I both enjoy the Saturday classes. Well worth the investment!
We’ve had a great experience with Sit Means Sit Dog Training! Our 1-year-old dog was struggling with reactive behavior around other dogs and needed help with leash walking. The one-on-one training sessions gave us a strong foundation and taught us clear, effective commands that actually work. Tim was patient,…
Tim is great. He was able to make friends with our very shy GSD in one meeting. Great tips, great program.
My boyfriend has been bringing his dog here, and based on his experience, we enrolled my 3-year-old Staffy. Tim’s training has been incredibly effective. The improvement in my dog’s behavior has been significant—he is noticeably calmer, easier to walk, and more controlled around other dogs. Friends and family have…
I’ve been working with Tim the owner and trainer who runs group classes and the results have been seriously impressive. The classes are well-structured, and Tim does a great job balancing group dynamics. I have noticed real progress in a short amount of time. My dog is more focused, responsive, and confident than…
We have had three dogs trained by Tim and McKayla including a very reactive cattle dog. The improvements made during the initial training were great but the group classes on the weekends really made a huge difference. Our cattle dog went from everyone must be herded to calm and very manageable after a few group classes. Highly reccomended!
My 15 pound rescued dog is very aggressive with other dogs especially big dogs. Trying to restrain him was dangerous for me and both dogs. I saw what a difference a neighbor's dog was after training and decided to go with SitMeansSit for their socialization classes. The trainers Macaula and Tim were so helpful and I…
We have trained 3 dogs with Sit Means Sit. The first was our rescued cattle dog who was 3 years old when he went into training. The changes have been phenomenal. Momo is a perfect walker and follows commands consistently. Teddy is our youngest, we rescued him at 1 yo and put him directly into training. He has done…
My wife and I have been taking our German Shepherd puppy here and it's made such an incredible difference in not only her behavior but our comfort level in taking her out in public spaces and walking her given how effective the training has been. Prior to this we didn't have any experience with e-collar training…
Tim and Michaela do a wonderful job!!
Tim and Michaela do a great job. Very friendly and knowledgeable
This is hands down the best dog training out there! Our dogs Frankie and Teddy are so much better behaved and we are more equipped with tools to help continue the good behavior. Tim & McKayla are an amazing team. Worth every investment.
It was a life changer getting professional dog training with sit means sit! but we also had some fun with teaching Max some cool tricks…
Have worked with multiple dogs with Tim and it’s been great!
Great flexible training and toolkit for dog owners. Stim/ e collar based training that is faded away in about 3 to 4 weeks for most dogs. Remote collar just becomes a back up safety net for if leash later on. For example hiking yesterday our dog took off after a small deer, called him back and he stopped and…
