Sit Means Sit Dog Training Syracuse

Cameron was fantastic with my puppy. Staff are very knowledgeable and getting videos on progress are alway nice to see

Great experience with the staff and trainers. My dog received a lot of valuable lessons

Everyone there is so wonderful and kind. Both to me, and to my dog Rip. The three day training classes provided has seen immediate improvement in his temperament. Would recommend to anyone looking to get some training for their pet. It's a little pricey up front, but the value for the life of your pet makes it worth it in the long run.

Amazing experience, talented staff! They helped my dog really get into a healthy training routine. I wouldn’t take my dogs anywhere else for training.

Stella had training with Sit Means Sit Syracuse and it changed the quality of our day to day lives. She worked well with Cam and Isabel. I highly recommend their services!

My family decided to get a puppy this summer after years of not having a dog. The kids are in college and mom and dad‘s schedule has slowed down a little bit so we thought now was a good time. I found I had a lot more questions than I thought I did about what are the best things to do for our dog. After hearing good… Read full review

We are so thrilled to have found a place that was able to get our dog the best training money can buy. Sit Means Sit does such a great job. SMS helped get my dog under control, they were the best! Continuing with weekly classes and putting all the hard work into play!

Jo and Isabel did a great job training my dog in only 3 sessions. Such a difference. I’ll be recommending friends and family to sit means seat.

My husband and I brought our one year old wild puppy here and it was truly the best decision that we made. Our dog has learned so many new commands and actually is following them at home! The staff is absolutely incredible. From the owner, to the front desk, to their trainers! Their trainer Jo is truly so… Read full review

Our trainer at sit means sit did an amazing job with our puppy! Having a dog that is a German Shepard/shar pei mix, we were very nervous about how she would listen to us and react to other dogs. They worked with her over the course of 3 classes, and I feel so much better knowing that my pup has an excellent… Read full review

Wonderful trainers and facility! Everyone we worked with was extremely professional and welcoming. We first met the owner, Dave, who was very compassionate and friendly during our consultation. He related to our situation and gave us hope that his team would be able to work with our dog. Our dog ended up working… Read full review

I didn’t have much hope that our 2 year old GSP Boone could be trained in many areas. Our goals were to have him not jump on people, be able to walk him with out being dragged on his walks. My husband was the only one to walk him and it wasn’t a pleasant experience because he just took off and dragged him. That was… Read full review

Thank you for training my highly excitable dog. Isabel and Cameron you have done a great job and I am so happy that she is trained so we can enjoy our walks . I appreciate all that you have done for her!

Dave has been Phenomenal, communicated consistently with me, taught me things I never knew about dogs and has been a blessing. He has taught both of my service dogs (one passed) and I have had so many compliments on how well trained they are. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND him to anybody. His team is absolutely amazing… Read full review

Place is awesome. Worth every penny. Staff was accommodating and so friendly. Our primary trainer Jo was so good with basil and trained her so well. She listened to every question we had no matter the “silliness” of it and answered with kindness and knowledge each time

We brought our dog, Basil, to Sit Means Sit because she was stubborn and we have a newborn. Those two don’t mix! After just three sessions, she’s a completely new dog (but still her goofy, lovable self). She listens so well, stays out of our space when we need her to, and is such a joy to be around. Jo did an… Read full review

We highly recommend Sit Means Sit. I loved the communication that this business shows. From our consultation to drop off day to mid day videos of how the day is going. Having an hour at the end of each session was very helpful for the weeks homework we did. My pups progress is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend… Read full review

Great 1st experience.

First and foremost Jo is awesome! She is patient, knowledgeable, and truly cares about helping both dogs and their owners succeed. We’ve seen such great progress with my daughter’s dog, and we couldn’t be happier. The Day Train program has been one of the best investments we've made. Not only does it produce… Read full review

We loved Isabel! Our 6 year deaf mini Australian Sheppard is not the friendliest of doggies. He loved her and responded so well. We have learned a lot…we have lots of practicing to do! Thank you so much 😊

Jo did a fantastic job with our 5 month old puppy. He was a very excitable and strong willed guy. His sessions with Jo taught him manners and self control (most of the time…he is still a puppy) She took plenty of time to explain the how, why and what to do with Harvey and ME!! We now have the tools to keep him and… Read full review

Giving a huge shoutout to everyone at Sit Means Sit, and especially to Rory’s main trainer, Jo! She has been amazing throughout this entire experience! Sit Means Sit has been such a positive experience for both my Mastiff Hugo and myself. I started Frankie, my 132 pound Cane Corso/Lab, last month at Sit Means Sit. I have been truly blessed to have JoJo working with us. I went from anxiety ridden days with Frankie to being able to enjoy every moment with her. JoJo took extra time to work on me, because I was the biggest roadblock with her training.… Read full review

"Sit Means Sit" more like "Sit Means Business"! Could not be more amazed at how well they've done with my very large, very reactive puppy Frankie. It was important to find somewhere that taught with authority but not fear. Its only been 3 individual lessons but the difference is night and day. Special shout out to… Read full review

I brought my dog who barked at every animal, car or person that she came across to Sit means Sit for 3 days of dog training. What I loved is they train your dog all day on what you want them to work on and all your dogs triggers and then give you hands on lessons when you come back and pick your dog up so that you… Read full review

Took our baby girl for training. She came from a hoarding situation and had never been on a leash or taken commands. Jo, the trainer, did a great job working with our little girl.

We brought our 6 month old puppy Cali in to Sit Means Sit for training services. Every person who handled Cali was absolutely 💯 percent helpful. Not only did she learn but so did we. The very first day there was a huge difference in her. All the trainers knew exactly what they’re doing and know how to handle your… Read full review

We adopted an older puppy from a shelter that overall is pretty well mannered, but does have some fear and anxiety when meeting strangers. My husband and I were very impressed with the owner Dave, as he took his time during the consult and explained the entire training process. He went through each and every one of… Read full review

Can’t believe what Isabel, Cameron and Justin were able to teach our dog in such a short period of time! Finley was constantly pulling on the leash, barking and jumping at everyone, at times I felt overwhelmed by his actions. Now he’s a changed dog who will walk off leash, sit when told and obeys commands!! You can… Read full review

Joanna is great. She worked with my almost year old puppy. She went from barking at the neighbors excessively when they would come outside, to now just watching them. She also knows boundaries and has better listen skills. Still is a work in progress but all things in life are. It's something you have to want to… Read full review

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sit Means Sit and the impact their training has had on both my dog and my life. I started my dog there as a puppy, and he is now 9 years old. Sit means sit is not only a place you bring your dog to grow and develop but they become part of your life. I can't thank Cameron enough for working with my cane (Zeus) trusted in you and worked so well with you. I have seen the changed behavior and although hes still a puppy I can tell with the consistent training he will become an amazing dog. Thank you

Everyone here was absolutely amazing to work with! They truly care so much about helping teach your dog all kinds of things and work with you so you understand as well. Phoebe, our goldendoodle, truly couldn’t have been in better hands with Sit Means Sit Syracuse and Isabel Marks. You can feel how much they genuinely care, and it shows in everything they do. Phoebe grew so much, and we did too, the guidance they gave us is something we’ll carry with us. So grateful for this team!
