Very unclear on billing and what you will owe. We were told our insurance would cover all visits, only to find out later that we will owe $$.
Clarity is not this offices strong suit in terms of billing or care. We were also told our pediatrician does not know enough about breast feeding, odd stance to take honestly.
Having a newborn is a challenging time, these consultants do not make that easier. I’d recommend avoiding them.

Kaitlyn was great to work with! She helped me and my baby through a lot of feeding and oral restriction issues. The space is comfortable, I never felt rushed and always left with actionable things to help our process along. Kaitlyn reviewed my bloodwork, suggested supplements, did weighted feeds, and offered emotional support during a really hard time. Book your appointments in advance because they fill up! They truly offer a wholistic look at what might be impacting feeding and supply.

I don’t even know where to begin, Allison is hands down the best, most knowledgeable lactation provider out there! My son and I were struggling so much, painful nursing, tongue tie, horrible gas, sleepless nights- I saw three other lactation consultants who all gave up and lost hope. I was about to give up when I found Alison on instagram and right away I knew she was different. During our first appointment she gave me so much hope and a plan of action, she was there every step of the way, and reassured me we could get this. I stuck with it and followed her suggestions and it had now been 6 months of exclusively breast feeding pain free and no more gas for my baby! Alison is truly a miracle worker at her job. I trust her so much! If you are about to give up please don’t and book with Alison asap!!!!!

This place is absolutely amazing. Went here for a second opinion. I immediately felt like I was family and Allison listened to every word I had to say. I felt so validated. I discovered Skilled Lactation Solutions (virtual appointments, as I'm out of state) on Instagram around 4 months postpartum, after not seeing success with my hospital's lactation consultant. Both Allison and Kaitlyn have been extremely helpful resources during my postpartum/breastfeeding journey. Through struggles with my baby's nursing efficiency to concerns about milk supply after going back to work/starting daycare, and now (at 11 months postpartum) to guidance on weaning, their support has been invaluable. I always leave our virtual calls feeling confident as a breastfeeding mother. Thank you!!

Kaitlyn was super gentle and asked permission before doing anything, something I appreciated greatly after being in the hospital. She helped me with a variety f methods to try with my infant who would not latch from changing bottles, nipple shields, etc. I was apprised with a very detailed after care summary to follow. My infant is small and grew tired and frustrated with sucking rather quick in addition to latch issues. I ultimately decided exclusively pumping was the best option for us but I would highly recommend this establishment if you are having lactation issues and have the patience to work through the solutions. Though we decided to exclusively pump, I appreciated being properly fitted for my pump (goodbye nipple soreness) and I still practice some of the techniques taught and try to put baby in boob as she gets bigger.

I can't thank Alison and Kaitlyn enough for helping to make my dreams of breastfeeding a reality. I came to Skilled Lactation Solutions after seeing another lactation consultant who had told me I have a small milk capacity, that I should come to terms with supplementing with formula, and that my baby's latch was great. I was so discouraged and ready to give up. After seeing Alison and Kaitlyn, my child was diagnosed with a tongue tie, had a successful frenectomy, I am now exclusively breastfeeding, and have a freezer supply for when I go back to work.
Alison and Kaitlyn were so supportive, positive, responsive, and are a wealth of knowledge. I would recommend them to anyone struggling with feeding their child.
