Hi, Jade!
I'm really confused seeing this review. You starting it with the first sentence is quite a bold statement, cause I have plenty of clients with dark skin. First of all it took me a moment to check my records to figure out when I communicated with you. And I see that we had a consultation in person in December 2024. And then some email communication in June 2025. And that was the last time we spoke and now months later out of the blue you just decided to leave this review for no apparent reason?
You wanted laser removal of your pink lip blush tattoo as well as dark pigmentation spots on your lips from smoking. I explained to you that I don't work with removal of natural pigmentation, only tattoo ink, but you found some research and some videos of someone treating it with the type of laser I work with and were eager to try. I explained you the risks, you chose to proceed. And we agreed to do the test spot for your pigmentation. Then 5 days later you reached out telling me that it seemed to lighten it. I responded to you saying that we can proceed with full treatment if you wish after the appropriate healing time. You never responded back. That was in December 2024. Then in June 2025 we had email conversation when you reached out again wanting your pink lip blush removed with laser and I sent you a detailed explanation of your case and my recommendations. And that was it. I’m attaching my last email response to you below. Now this review you left makes no sense. I truly am confused and don’t understand even the motive of this. If anything I find this rude and insulting. As my work ethic and the way I treat people with complete professionalism, care and respect could never be questioned. And I do treatments that only help, enhance and improve, never harm or make things worse.
Now text of my email to you from 6/12/2025 where I advise that laser is 100% not suitable for removal of your pink tattoo and solution removal method would be posing more unnecessary risks rather than doing anything because of how natural and undetectable your lip tattoo looked where you could't really even tell you have a lip tattoo cause it just looked like normal lips:
“As I explained in my first email, for your dark spots we used wavelength for dark colors (1064).
It does not remove red or pink. And it won’t cause adverse color changes or hyperpigmentation if used correctly. Also it can be used on all skin types.
To remove red and pink it has to be a wavelength for red (532) which can only be safely used on Fitzpatrick skin types 1-3, and not on 4-6 (which your skin type falls into) due to this wavelength seeing natural melanin in the skin and use of it would be too traumatic and can cause permanent loss of that melanin (hypopigmentation) or post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Also when 532 wavelength is used on inks that contain a higher amount of titanium dioxide - white pigment, which your ink has a high amount of - the chemical reaction called inversion can happen and the pigment will become dark gray/green.
Will attach examples below (not my work of course).
Yes, I do use laser for lip tattoo removal, but not for every case it is possible, due to factors above in your case it is totally out of question.
Now, why I won’t suggest acid removal method for you.
Mostly cause you’re prone to hyperpigmentation, that’s what mostly caused the dark spots on your lips and the type of trauma we cause with this method can stimulate more melanin production in melanocytes - skin cells that produce it and you can have more dark spots or darkening of current ones.
That’s why I advise against it, since risks outweigh the benefits. And it’s simply not worth the risks of making it worse when it isn’t even bad to begin with. Hope my explanation above is easy to understand.”
So I would definitely like to have an explanation on why I’m getting this random review from you of such sort accusing me of things for no apparent reason.
