Nothing but good things to say about Smart Group Builders Inc! I worked with Dimitri and he was a pleasure to work with! From the start he was very friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to answer all my (many) questions. He made the entire process so much less stressful and the final product is something I am happy to see every time I leave and come back to my house. I never felt pushed at any point and felt that everything was laid out and tailored in such a way I would understand what was going on. Thank y'all so much!

Dimitri takes a lot of pride in his work, and we’ll be sure to share your kind words with him. Thank you for trusting Smart Builders Group with your home. We’re grateful for the opportunity and hope you enjoy the results for years to come!
We had the hailstorm 0n the east side of Saint Paul on June 19, 2026. A week later two guys from Smart builders showed up at our door. I could tell right away that Jack & Tim knew what they were talking about and were very sincere. Jack was very conscientious and helpful. Jason & his crew did the new roof on July 9. A few weeks later Pedro & his helper started the siding. They were very through and did not miss any little detail. Finally, because the regular gutters guy was on vacation, Jack himself came out to install gutters & downspouts. I would recommend Smart Builders to anyone who needs any roofing or siding work done on their house.

Maynard thank you so much for the detailed 5-star review and for trusting Smart Builders Group with your home after the June hailstorm on the east side of Saint Paul! We’re glad Jack, Tim, Jason, Pedro, and the rest of our team were able to make the process smooth from the initial storm damage inspection through the roof replacement, siding, gutters, and downspouts.
We take a lot of pride in providing thorough, dependable roofing and siding services for homeowners throughout Saint Paul and the Twin Cities, especially after hail and wind damage. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words along to the entire crew.
Thank you again for recommending Smart Builders Group. We truly appreciate your business and your trust in our team!
Wow! When the hail storm came over us last June, we were in the center of it (lots of homes in our area are being repaired). I am absolutely pleased and happy with the construction, the siding, the roof, and the gutters that were all replaced. The workers were fabulous and good at what they do. One of the workers did a couple extra details that surprised me and yet, what else could i expect from such a worker. Jack is amazing to work with - if anyone - ask for Jack!

I would strongly recommend Jack from Smart Builders.
He knocked on my door one evening and asked if I can let him check my roof for hail damage. Normally, I would cut the conversation short and close the door. However, his approach was sincere and not pushy so I figured I would take a chance. He did find hail damage.
The rest of the process was all Jack. He worked with the insurance company from start to end.
Initially, the insurance company denied my claim with a response the damage was not sufficient. However, I am not sure what Jack did. He continued working with the insurance company until the claim was approved. As a result I now have a new roof.
Thank you Jack for working on the claim from start to end and updating me along the way. You made the whole process stress free.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Smart Builders. Despite all the pushback from the insurance company, everything was completed successfully. Jack Subra was top notch, he explained the process thoroughly and did all the heavy lifting with insurance. The workers, well they too were amazing. They took great care protecting the house and landscaping from the work. They were efficient with the work, completing it in a day. They cleaned up after themselves, leaving me with nothing but a beautiful new roof. Thank you!!
