Awesome team and awesome experience, truly! We were connected with Solar Power Pros via Switch Together Denver, and from the very beginning the folks we’ve worked with have been so friendly, non-aggressive, punctual, and honest. Our project manager Kevin always surprised me by how fast he’d get back to me with useful answers to our questions, and always made sure we were in the loop about our project’s status. The folks who came over to actually do work - Mac is the only name I can recall now - were so professional and focused and always like three minutes early to appointments. They didn’t hesitate to talk my wife and I out of something unnecessary we thought we needed, when they easily could have just said we needed the thing; we would not have doubted them swallowed the increased cost. Everyone has been really graceful and patient with educating us about home solar and helping us navigate things like rebate policies. Honestly every part of this project was so easy because of this team! Solar is expensive, and the price tag will probably always sting us regular folk. Accepting that as inevitable, Solar Power Pros really pulls off making the entire rest of the experience painless, productive, informative, and generally transparent. Our project went from concept to fully installed in something like 8-10 weeks which is crazy to me! Now here we are actively contributing to Denver’s grid and powering our home with the sun, living much closer to our principles, and generally just loving the fact that we went for it! Seriously, I cannot recommend Solar Power Pros highly enough!

Solar Power Pros did a great job with our system, and, after it was installed, they have kept the pressure on Xcel Energy to make sure they make the required changes to take full advantage of our expanded solar system and battery wall.

Photon did a great job with the install of two Power Walls and replacement of my decades old fuse box. In conjunction with my PV array I no longer need to be concerned with the power going off, great peace of mind. Their electrician Oleksander was very professional and so helpful when it came time to understanding the app for viewing and controlling the system. Their consultant Miles Broadman made the process easy and helped me understand everything. They understand how to take advantage of all the available deductions, not all solar/battery providers take full advantage of this!

We had a great experience with Solar Power Pros. It was a bit of long process, involving our local utility, but Solar Power Pros kept in contact along the way. We couldn't be happier with our Solar Panels and Tesla Powerwall. We pretty much have generated 99% of our own power since installation. After experiencing a 5 day power loss last winter, we feel confident we will not have any issues, if that should occur again. We have had a few times where the power from the grid has been turned off briefly and there wasn't even a blink from the system and when we were on the backup battery. The system is smart enough to draw power from the grid to keep the battery at 100% on red flag days. It has given us tremendous peace of mind as well as tiny electric bills. Our only regret was waiting as long as we did to do the installation.

Great communication and explanations of system

In summer 2025, Solar Power Pros installed a 24-panel photovoltaic system on my concrete-tiled house roof, one Powerwall 3, and a 240V garage EV outlet. I contracted with SPP through a Switch Together Boulder program that selected SPP as the contractor who then provided a comprehensive proposal for a fair price. I was impressed with the sales lead's system knowledge and he addressed all questions and concerns upfront, which as an engineer, I had many. After signing the contract, installation went fairly smoothly over a few weeks duration, although I wished the project manager had kept me better informed about the schedule and some minor issues. After the installation was completed, SPP submitted approval paperwork to Xcel which took several weeks to grant permission to enable the system. SPP has since followed up with me a few times to inquire about and issues (there are none) and once to ask if a potential customer could contact me for feedback, which I don't mind. The system has been operating since 10/2/2025 and has performed flawlessly. Power generation for 11 months through 9/2/2026 was 13,720 kWh which has exceeded the original production estimate of 13,700 kWh/year, although it's weather dependent. This system provides more than enough power for my house including, one EV, air conditioning, electric cooktop/oven, and a heat pump water heater. Since most of the solar generation is during off-peak time-of-use hours (peak hours 5-9PM), I decided to go flat rate so I can use AC inexpensively during the peak hot summer evening hours using solar bank credits (1:1 credit/debit monetary credits at this time) when there is minimal solar generation, although other use cases may favor TOU. I use the Powerwall exclusively for house backup due to poor grid reliability in my area, so I always keep it at 100% charge. Bottom line is that I have been very pleased with the system and I highly recommend Solar Power Pros for your solar photovoltaic contractor.
